Blessings, why not just put a drop of perfume under your own nose?
PROBLEM SOLVED! .

LOL Twinks. Vicks vapour rub?
For Blessings and breezy, Are your cats spraying or are they actually urinating on the carpets? Once you do get the odour out, and that may be difficult, there are a few other things I thought about. One is that cats don't like their kitty litter near their food or water. The other was for breezy about the number of cats in the house and if they share the litter? There's also the pheromone spray. No idea if it works but there have been posts here on this forum about this problem before. If your cats are stressed and are lucky enough to have the catnip gene, get some catnip toys or if they're able to go outside into a safe area, plant some catnip there. Biozet is an enzyme detergent here and it's grey water friendly and apparently very good in removing the odours. You have that in USA? If not there must be something comparable. It's probably cheaper than something from the vet.. |

Oreo stands up and sprays outside against a tree trunk or bush. We first saw her do this upNorth.
When she was young, and we took her up there for the summer, she tended to get lost and not be able to find her way back home. This then resulted in our having to go out and find her, and walk her back. She learned to spray the trees eventually, and then she never got lost again. She does it at home too. I asked the Vet and he said some females do this. It might be from an abundance of androgens from the adrenal glands, since the ovaries are gone. She has always been a muscular active cat too. Weezie on the other hand has become porky since her spay and does not go far from home. She does however continually sniff the ground like a dog when she is outside. And Houdini is not mature yet, and will be neutered soon. He is an unknown so far in this regard.

Today I was witness to anothers pain and grief. I was picking up sammy from the Vet. Another person across the room was crying. she had just finished saying goodbye to her pet. The grief etched in her face got to me. I consoled her. Please keep this unknown woman in pain in your prayers. We all face this issue if we keep beloved pets. Being witness to anothers grief in person was very real and sad. ginnie
