Question Additional Supplements ?

Hi,
With the recent recall of the pet food I would like to start making my dogs homemade dog food. I am currently feeding them prescription diet W/D and it is high in fiber. I am looking for recipes that would be comparable to a high fiber diet.
I also supplement them with Pet Tabs Plus. Do I need to supplement them with any other supplements or will the pet tabs be sufficient along with the prepared diet.

Thanks so much
Dawn

Hi I wish I knew the answers to your questions but I really don't. I tried looking online for a high fiber homemade recipe for your pet but I couldn't really find one. Instead I got websites that suggest raw food diets (which I am not familiar with). I just started my dog on a homemade diet of chicken, rice, carrots, and celery. I posted the recipes on here if you were interested. But the websites online really recommend raw heart, and liver. But I don't know if I feel comfortable with that, to be honest.

If I were you, I would contact the vet and ask them your questions since they really are the most informed about this stuff. When I asked my vet, they gave me handouts of recipes. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Good luck!
