Good lord. What next? And who knows how many animals we may have lost in the past due to uncaring companies making pet food?

I saw on another forum one woman say that she'd had it. She got a food processor, stockpiled on chicken and rice, and said that's what her pets were eating while she searched for pet food recipes.

Default Natural Balance pulling Dry Dog and Cat Food

**** Van Patten's Natural Balance Venison and Brown Rice Dog Formula and Venison and Green Pea Cat Formula has been pulled of the shelves according to an e-mail from " Pet Safety Alerts" I received today.
The company is advising customers not to feed venison to their pets.

.

And I thought **** Van Patten's Natural Balance food is one of the safer ones.
What is safe these days???

homemade!!

I have come to realise that our kitten who had all the health problems was likely being triggered by the wheat/soy/corn etc in the kitten food.

Since I started making our own food (lots of great recipes from my vet) and mixing in some Blue "Spa Select" (no soy, wheat, corn or "by products") kitten dry food for the balance of nutrients, all our cats are really benefitting (and clearly loving the dietary change too)...but especially MoonShadow who is thriving....
