Oh that 1st graders report is just adorable!!!! I loved the 'first family portrait'! LOLOL!

And did you see the slides for 6/12??? Dang! One of the pictures is a big ole fish laying at the side of the nest, and then pics of them eating it.

I haven't checked this in a few days. Have they left the nest?

Well, they are coming and going, still eating in the nest and sometimes sitting on a branch nearby. I guess they are learning now how to catch their own food.

I am actually delighted to see how this process works...I kinda always thought that it would be a case of "I can fly, so bye bye"..........good to see them honing their survival skills while still hangin' out in the home nest

Kind of like our own children when they are testing their wings.

Default Sheeeooo

I thought they were gone. Yes, I like the way their table manners are being perfected too.

Thumbs up you have to see!

The Norfolk gardens put up a slide show of 2-9-07 of the EGGS, and
3-11-07 of one of the chicks just hatched!

These are terrific! The 3-11 pics are just amazing and precious.
The chick is about the size of a tennis ball, and the mother is so gentle and tender!

The nest is very different too. It has a lining of softer grass and moss, and it is interesting to see that also. As time has passed the nest has become rather trampled! LOL

Those interested must check this out...it is fabulous!

Default Not sure but

it looks like there is something wrong with one of the babies. He seems to just be rolling around in the nest. At first I thought he was dead because of the way he was rolling around. I don't see any of the others.

Billye

those slides are from when the three babies that we now know as the three large eaglets first hatched, some months back
.

yes, we were all pretty worried about one of the guys (there are 2guys and the firstborn girl) but he seemed to get stronger and look at him now
.

I guess he is the one I still see most frequently at the nest.....possibly still lagging behind the other two.
