. He/she was removed from the nest, and sent to a rehab center for diagnosis and treatment. This was necessary to protect the parents from contagion, and to help the chick whose beak tumor was growing very fast and interfering with his breathing. The cam is over for this season. It is still on, probably waiting to see parents' reactions to the loss. Right now the nest is empty and no sign of the parents. .
