my husband is really getting into them too.
If you read the blog, it explains the runt...and his/her fate. If food is plentiful all three get fed. If food is scarce, the little one is left out and left to languish. Last year all 3 fledged well. I just hope no darling bunny or kitten gets recorded on that nest! . We deal with baby bunnies here and it is very unpleasant when one of the cats brings that in! . The mother eagle this morning is doing a great job of protecting the babies. I even saw her make one of the chicks go potty! That was something else... a jet poop! .

. . Hi all eagle fans, there is an other nest with one new chick, born April 13. The Webcamera has a tone as well and the eagles are numbered, so you can see which one is in the nest and who is hunting for food. At this point, the mom keeps the chick warm with her body, it is very windy there. The story behind these eagles is very interesting to read. |

Today I got to see the baby eagles for the first time. They look a little scraggly, maybe from rain? My computer at home doesn't let me see them, it's too slow and in need of a cleanup.
I only see 2 babies, I wonder where the third is... maybe sleeping behind the first two. And I don't see a mother eagle either. |

There is a big fish in the nest and mama sits a bit away on a brench watching the nest, but I think the eaglets are not hungry anymore, they seem to sleep.
