Thumbs up Two cats sharing a bowl:

Not what one would expect!

.

They look very much like our two black cats.

Weezie always lets Maya go first. But we have 2 spots
anyway for them, because Maya being young still muscles in
and can't wait.

How sweet!

My 2 cats have been together for 11 years and still hate each other. Don't think I'll ever have 2 cats at the same time again.

Wink

We've never had cats who obviously loved each other ...either.
One pair did = Tippy and a young male Rufus, but his life was not to be long. So she was depressed when he died.

Tolerate, yes. All of our others did get along to a point. But still not beyond tolerate, polite, etc.

Now with Weezie and Maya, we see a much different dynamic.
Weezie is an exceptional cat, who thinks she is a human. So she is not very territorial with baby Maya, who is almost full grown now. She draws the line at sharing a sleeping spot/bed, and grooming, but she plays, with Maya many invented funny games. And Maya loved Weezie from the first moments we brought her home. She took about a month to even come out of hiding with US, but she LOVED Weezie. She still licks Weezies ears for her when greeting her. But that is the limit!
And Weez defers to Maya all the time. We think Maya may become "alpha" in the future.

We have a track with a ball inside that rolls like train (not the circular donut type, but nicer. I bought 2 of them and put them together and both cats push the balls to each other back and forth. LOL

Amazon has this very reasonably priced:

.

Our late beloved Oreo, used to pull OUR dishes over to herself like this-- When we first adopted her, she snagged a piece of pumpkin pie, with whipped cream on it when our backs were turned. This was our clue to use whipped cream for her special treat which she loved for 14 yrs! So we loved this video and thought of her!
She was so interesting... this is a photo of her exploring the huge machines that resurfaced our front street one summer.
She stayed inside all day afraid of the noise, but when the workmen left, she wanted to explore the monsters! LOL
She was never mean to our other cats, but she was a friend to them in other ways. But affection, or sharing we never saw.
