Check out this video of the heroic Tara, saving her toddler.

Thumbs up

Wow.. this is just an amazing video!

If you watch it on YouTube.... that original version shows the
injury closeup of the boy, near the end! Not for the faint of heart! Had to have many many stitches.

Yes, and in the YouTube version, one also gets a more extended look at the dog's behavior. The animal actually stalks the child, who is completely unaware of its presence. That dog has very serious problems.

Thank heaven the cat reacted so quickly.

Yes, I've watched that video on the news several times and also when I found it on You Tube. The latest report on the news said that they euthanized the dog. I would guess so. It was the neighbors dog.

They also said that the cat had adopted them when the little boy was a baby. Good cat for sure. And it's a good thing that the parents had a surveillance camera. They didn't even know that the cat had chased the dog away til they saw that. Good thing they had that camera or who knows what would have happened. Also, saw the stitches the little boy had.

Amazing story.

In the media that was shown here last night they mentioned that the little boy was on the Autism Spectrum.
The bond between the cat and the boy must be very strong. Incredible.

My cat is a tabby and she's prone to chase dogs. It's as if she's got no idea of their size.

Thanks for posting this; I hadn't seen or heard about it.

My cat Alexander has chased both a pit bull and a red fox out of the yard. Defending his turf!
