Default Beautiful

Thanks Alffie,

Beautiful shots of this georgeous bird. I live in the middle of wooded acreage and have actually seen red colored hawks in my front yard in a tree. The trees come right up to our house. Lovely birds,
Billye

I watched a wonderful PBS program about these hawks last night...they documented them from chicks to flying. And those sophisticated newyorkers swooned over them just like the rest of us. *grin

I dont think this is the same species of hawk, but these guys live in the woods out back of our place
They frequently sit on the fence, roof and trees and swoop the stream out back too

so majestic!! and what a wingspan!

I am usually woken in the am by a combination of their cries and the echoing meeows of my cats
