Thumbs up

The wombat was darling. Reminds us of Weezie(the cat)...same body type.

And ...the guy is mega cute too! Reminds us of our son, who would do the same if given a chance!

I wonder about the context of the guy patting the wombat?
It's not just something that would happen when you're sun baking in the park or whatever. He perhaps has a pet wombat for some strange reason or is a wildlife carer? Does anyone know something I missed...

Also just adding on the older Wombat thread here that mrsD started a while back. It's a good one too...

Question

I had the impression that this wombat was either a rescue or a backyard friend. It is juvenile, and perhaps misses the grooming a mother wombat would provide? So he begs for it. Rather smart
to nibble fingers to get them moving to his fur, too. The wombat certainly seemed familiar with people. It is cute though to see him begging for attention. I have to wonder if he received a carrot reward after this video?

Cool Smirk

I, too, wondered whether he was semi-domesticated, so I ran through the video again and they seem to be in an enclosure with a 'run' in the background.
Whatever the situation, this young man has a close bond at that moment with this furry friend.

Dave.

Wombats rock - I always enjoy it if I see one when I am out in the bush.

There is a very cute image of one on the start screen of this laptop
