Default My Parrot Died

My companion Red Lored Amazon parrot died on Friday June 5. We had been together 37 yrs. I was devastated. This wonderful companion become mine during a raffle at a parrot show. He was wild caught and untamed. What a life we shared together.

I am so sorry for your loss of your parrot friend.
.

Animals are so loving, devoted and therapeutic. They teach us many many things. You are better person for having this experience! But it hurts when they pass. We have lost several companions over the years too. And I often think about them as well, to this day.

Hi Stumblefoot,

Losing a companion after 37 years must be a terrible wrench. I feel for your loss.

Dave.

The two of you obviously shared something "very special" for your parrot to live 37 years. An amazing companion.

I am really sorry to read that stumblefoot.

You and your parrot must have shared lots of good times in your 37 years together - I hope that you find that a comforting thought.

With care.

Thanks MrsD. It was a very special and rewarding time. I was with him at the moment of his passing. I had promised him that he wouldn't die alone. Fortunately it worked out alright that way.
