Wink Momma Bear and 5 cubs in NJ backyard pool with toys:

This link has 2 parts of a 3 part video which is pretty interesting.

.

Part II is funny, but I had to turn off the sound as the little girl was just too shrill for me. At the end the camera goes off, but there seems to be no problem when Momma drags the electrical pump into the pool. Part III just continues with more of the same. The little ones are very enjoyable and Momma spends alot of effort keeping them out of the pool most of the time. The water becomes dirtier and dirtier.

Cool Smirk

I did not realise bears could have so many cubs. I thought 1 or 2 was the norm.

A lovely story, as usual MrsD.

Dave.

LOL That's incredible. They had so much fun!

I loved how human Mum kept her cool through the whole dialogue.

Lightbulb

Dave, I think it is a blended family. I think 3 cubs is considered rare. If it were really 5, that Momma bear had some good food
sources to do that. It doesn't get that cold in NJ.... where we are upNorth, 2 cubs is rare. Usually it is one that we have seen.
The longer cold winter temps shorten the food source availability unless there are humans feeding them (and usually there are).

I thought they were very entertaining too. You can see why bears are found in circuses.

Thumbs up

That was really something to watch. The human Mum will have to buy a new floatee.
.
I'll bet they remember that for the rest of their lives.
