How lovely - thanks mrsD.
Otters are high on my list of favourite animals - I have seen them a few times playing in the sea when I have visited California.

We have river otters upNorth at our summer place.
We see them sometimes. Once when I was up there alone, one swam by after dark slowly "barking" a call. I shined my flashlight at the area in the lake and saw his little eyes reflecting back at me. We have occasionally seen the season's litter too, but not often. They don't come near people as a rule.
