I love the variety of Hummingbirds that visit these feeders in Studio City, California
. Also note the various swings positioned around the feeders...apparently research shows Hummers love swings to perch on! . |

Thanks Chemar.
I have good memories of seeing hummingbirds in San Fransisco, somewhat to the amusement of the locals.

I was lucky enough to stay in a Ranger's Cabin in the Canadian Rockies in the summer of 1989. It was luxury in the middle of a wilderness amongst the snow and the ice covered lakes and Whistler Mountain as a backdrop.
The reason I share this is from inside the cabin you could observe, through a window, from a couple of feet, Hummingbirds in all their beautiful wondrous glory. I had no idea they would be there as am not a twitcher and have never seen them before or since. It was a rare privilege and I have never forgotten their beauty. Thanks for sharing this. Happy Days. |
