Oh Kitt, that's horrible. I wouldn't be able to deal with that.
I've had the worst summer here for snakes but they're all outside thankfully. This little one was the smallest I've seen and the only one that's non-venomous. The other ones are dangerous. If I'm working ouside I always take my phone with me now just in case. Weird way to live. It's been the longest and hottest summer with a lot of rain and being around cane fields makes it worse for snakes. I do a lot of work outside so I race around on the mower making noise before I try to do anything. I hope you have sealed the door down to the basement really well so you don't find anymore in the house. As I said I couldn't deal if they were inside my house. . Hi, there is no door to the basement. I guess those garter snakes are expert climbers. Anyway we haven't had any upstairs again thankfully. My husband has been checking the basement and none just lately. He will check again this evening. Hopefully there will be none. We still need to find the hole they have been coming in. They are about the size of a lead pencil.
Awful what you have. . Take care.
