Default CHINOOK,My BELOVED BOY.

Hello everyone; I usually post on the tos forum. I am heart broken today. I had a beloved Siberian Huskey his name Chinook for 16 years. For the past year between blindness and arthritis he was struggeling. He wouldn't give up because he really didn't want to leave my side. He was like my own child. He was just living for me. I will miss him something awful. The tears won't stop tonight, but I was told that I was doing the right thing. I am so sad, it is so hard to say goodbye to a truly wonderful pet.

Default Oh, Wow

I'm so so sorry. Losing a beloved pet is like losing part of your soul. I wish I could do more that say that I'm sorry, but I really, really am.

Default Cherish the memories

I like to think of our pets that had to leave as being in doggie heaven. So here's to Chinook meeting up with my Bouvier, Mary. She's been gone over 5 yrs now & I still cry at times over losing her.She had cancer but still managed to walk with me in the woods,on her last day she went down on the path......much too heavy for me to pick up. Her faith & stamina were amazing. Your Chinook would still be here if possible,I feel your pain.

P.S. They no longer suffer,we have to keep reminding ourselves of that. All good dogs go to heaven, and there's no such thing as a bad dog.......

Thankyou all for your caring and kind words. I am still so sad. Tears are falling like rain drops. I want you all to know just how much I appreciate your support. Life has been really hard lately, and with Chinook gone I feel like a piece of my heart has been torn away. I am so sad...

Hi Alison; Thankyou so much. I hope your springer spaniel feels better. I miss Chinook terribly, everyone says I did the right thing. Each day is getting a little easier, and when I read Rainbow Bridge about being reuited with him when it is my time,it gives me comfort. I will say a prayer for your 13 year old dog and for you and your family. I guess we have to be grateful for our time with them. Try and think of the good times. Lots of hugs.
