The lop ear bunnies are so sweet - I love the photos of them sleeping.

And the hamsters were cute. I was astonished that he lets them run about the room, keeping their cage on the floor at night. I wonder if they do the nature thing all over the floor? What a wonderful thing to step in on your way to the loo!!

I have often thought of getting a rat. They are very intelligent and can be trained.

Did you and Brenda ever have a pet or do they allow them where you live?

I do want so badly to have a dog. I need one to help me get past the door and outside.. walking for exercise would be great too - tho a Chihuahua won't need as much as many..
.

Or, if I lived closely enough to one, I could volunteer at a pet shelter. Where I live now, the closest is about 35 miles away. And where I lived before, they wouldn't allow ANY volunteers since the courts there assigned criminals work-duty there. So unfair..

I've started a couple of blogs - but they never got beyond creating and naming them. I'm just not one for putting my life or thoughts down publicly like that .. but I COULD see having a blog for my pet!

I adored our rats. They were very sweet, but within ONE WEEK both my daughter and I were allergic to them and broke out in hives if we handled them
.
. I still gave ours baths, but I got hives every time.

They were really very sweet.

If you don't have a lot of allergies...I'd say give one a try

We had two cats called Lucky and Lucy(sisters) . Lucky got ill soon after Brenda died and
i had to have her put to rest(liver problems). She was great with both of us(very affectionate) but was especially fond of Brenda and pined when she died.
I still have Lucy.
