Heart Dogs being Abused

For the life of me I will never , ever , understand how any human can abuse or torture the little (or big) animals. I have seen dog collars so embedded in the neck of a dog, it has to be surgically removed.
I have seen a dog so infested with ticks that you can't see his skin.
I have seen dogs tied up in a back yard that look so sad because he is so alone.
I have seen the outcome of these puppy mills.
I have seen dogs that are kept in a kennel so long, they can't even stand upright any more. The females are bred over and over again, and its all about money and greed! How can these "breeders" wake up in the morning, crawl out of a warm bed and look at themselves in the mirror?
I have seen the dogs covered with fleas, lying in their own excrement.
I have seen the abuse and cruelty carried on day after day.
Who the hell has the right to do this????????????
After being beaten I have seen a dog look up to his master and still lick his hand out of pure forgiveness.
I have seen and felt like my heart is breaking for dogs who have abusive
owners.
Please be kind to your dog or any animal.
Time to go. Truely, Doodle bug7

Hi,
I know some people are horrible to animals, they deserve to be prosecuted for ever.
The people who live next to us abuse their dog and cat.
.
I have phoned animal rescue centres about it and when they come out they pretend that they are not in.
.
It is horrible, I find it hard to live in my own home.
They let their cat sit on an upstairs window ledge that is open, that cat could fall and break its neck. They don't walk the dog. You see them hitting them
.

I find it so distressing to see, how can someone do such a thing??
Take care and ALWAYS look after your pets.
Love
Alison

Exclamation Compassionate people

Ali
You also have a kind heart. My problem is I want to save all the pets around the world. If your neighbors are abusing their animal, I would call and turn them in also. I know it is difficult because they live so close to you. If you can't get assistance, I believe I would have to do a Kidnaping (dog napping). Those people should not have one more minute to hurt their animals!
I use to watch Animal cops once in a while. After getting so upset all the time when I watched, I had to stop. Even on the dog whisperer, Its hard for me to see the dogs get in a fight. One of the dogs is squalling loudly after being attacked.
I don't know how we ended up with 7 dogs, but I know that it is 7 dogs less that are being abused.
We keep all our dogs inside if the weather is yuckey. The two Golden Retrievers have the kitchen, and the other 5 are in the rest of the house. At night we keep the Goldens in their kennels, The rest are sleeping in the pet beds , but the Great Dane has the couch all to her self. Well , the little ones
do sleep with us. That is the Italian Greyhound and the miniature poodle.Sometimes we end up with 4 dogs in the bed. Actually it is quite organized. Really............................I think.
Write again and we can talk Dog, or cat (I have one cat named J.D.) That stands for John Doe) I've had him for 10 yrs.
Time to go. Truely, Doodle bug7

Hi Doodlebug,
Thanks for your kind words, I really appriciate them ((hugs)), I want to be a vet when I grow up, but I suffer from RSD so I wont be able to be a vet if I still have it when I am 18.
I have a load of pets, I have a puppy called Jack, 2 hamsters called Dolce and Gabana, a parrot called Sparky, Fish (not got names) and a chinchilla called Tabatha. I got my chinchilla from a rescue centre near where I live.
My grandad owns a siamese cat, she is lovely.
I too watch Animal Cops and I don't know how people can abuse such lovely animals.
If you want to talk about animals I am here. I have only just got my puppy. We have just had to have our 13 year old springer spaniel put to sleep due to a nasal tumour, it was the hardest thng I have ever had to do.
Take care
Love
Alison

Ali, why don't you get them on film or take a picture. There has got to be something you can do to stop this abuse of these poor animals. They need to come down harder on anyone that mistreats an animal. When I see it on tv it makes me sick to my stomach. I too can't watch animal cops. I end up crying and I can't get it off my mind. I wish I had the money that some celebrities or ball players do and I would buy several acres of land and use it for an animal rescue. I'm not just running my mouth I would do it in a second. When it comes to animals I get really mad when I hear of any kind of abuse or neglect. I have a stained glass store and my customers know that they never need to leave their dog outside in the car while they shop. I have a water bowl I will get out and four legged customers are always welcome in our store!

I share the same feelings with all of you. Sometimes when I play with my furballs, I start thinking about all the ones still out there and start crying.

Ali, are there animal control centers in the UK? Here in the states if they suspect animal abuse they can get warrants to enter the home if need be, is there anything like that there? While you're trying to find a solution, I would suggest getting a notebook and documenting every time you see or hear them abusing their animals, with the dates, times and details. Maybe even seak a picture or two with a zoom lens if it's possible. If it ever comes to that, those things can be used to prosecute them.

I've also always said my biggest wish is to have the money to buy a place with land so I can help rescue and foster animals.

I wish some of these people could be taken somewhere and treated like they treat their animals and see how they like it.

Gabby, when I read your post I had a wonderful idea.

Have you considered perhaps offering custom stained glass windows of people's pets from photos? You could even sell them on-line.

If you were able to do that, perhaps you could donate a small percentage of each order to an animal rescue in your area.

Check out my avatar. That's my Kvella Deville (aka Rockybeans). Does she or does she not look like the pink panther? She's my pride a joy, a real character. Her mother was a pregnant stray I took in. She had her 5 kittens just a few days later. I know I was sent them by some higher power, because just a few weeks later I had to have my Fuzz put to sleep after 15 years and it got me through. That's when I knew Kvella was the one that I was adopting. When I got home from the vet, I sat down on the sofa and started to cry. Kvella, not even 5 weeks old, stopped played, looked at me, ran over, up my body and started to lick the tears off my cheeks. I knew right there and then.

I worked with a local no-kill rescue group to get them all great homes, I kept Mom and Kvella, and then started fostering for the rescue.

And my Little Big Man showed up starving on my porch just a few weeks after that, and never left.

And yes, every single one of them was spayed/neutered. I am a staunch believer in that. As difficult as the decision would have been, I would have had Deja Vu (the mom) spayed before before she had the kittens (which would have meant aborting them), but she was too far gone.

Thank you all for caring about those who can't care for themselves and keep up the good work!

And Doodlebug, never say never. We need more vets who care the way you do. I have faith you will find a way. The furballs out there, they need you!

One of my favorite musicals is "Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," and there's a line from the first song that goes ...

We all dream a lot
Some of lucky, some are not
But if you think it, want it, dream it,
Then it's real
You are what you feel.

(Don't mind me -- I get weird after midnight LOL)

Hi there,
Many thanks for your replies. Here in the UK we have an animal control centre called the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Provention of Cruelty to Animals) this is there website:
.

I am going to contact them and see if they can come out and see the poor dog and cat. I really want something to be done about it.
Thanks again
Love
Alison

.

I love you guys! I feel the same as you do Doodlebug!
If I were able I would be a radical activist. I do what I can tho...I belong to many animal protection groups, I write articles and have pro-life (animal & human) websites and always adopt from shelters. I give what money I can to rescues, and I write letters & make phone calls to anyone & everyone in a position to make a difference & change the laws regarding animal protection & abuse. I won't buy anything tested on animals, don't wear leather or fur & encourage others to stop wearing it. But that's not nearly enough....I yearn to do so much more!
A lot of people have criticised PETA and other radical animal protection societies....and although I have at times felt they've gone a bit too far, I still believe it often takes a radical action to garner the much needed attention toward their goals, to bring about an awareness to the masses of the horrific & heinous acts being committed against animals every single day. The research labs, the puppy mills, the mink farms, the hoarders, the open markets in Asia...those I can hardly bear to see or think about. I can never for the life of me understand how anyone could be so cold and callous, heartless, unfeeling and cruel, sick & twisted to treat animals as though they are nothing...or some even enjoy the debauchery they inflict upon those poor, innocent ones.
Their screams, their agony and fear...their eyes haunt me from the videos I've seen. I have nightmares from it. I could never become jaded or hardened to it....never.
There's so much I wish I hadn't seen that will live on within my mind for all eternity, but it only serves to make me more determined to fight with all my might against these atrocities.
The exploitation & abuses of animals has got to stop! We have to fight with all our might to put an end to it! I SO admire the people who are out fighting for animal rights and who put their lives on the line going under-cover to expose research labs and myriad other forms of abuse and helping to shut them down! The animals whose lives were lost must not have died in vain...and there are some truly good people fighting to make certain they won't have died in vain.
There are not nearly enough laws protecting animals adequately, nor severe enough punishments for for abusing them!
Michael Vick got off with such a pathetic sentence it infuriates me! He & his cohorts are sick, twisted, deranged & evil! Those poor dogs suffered the most horrific & inexcusable abuses it is a miracle that, reportedly only one was euthanised due to the extent of his injuries.
Those dog's trust was betrayed, their bodies battered, their souls ravaged! They will never ever be the same. Their spirits are devastated.
Michael Vick is no human being...look at the result of the abuse he heaped upon those innocent dogs & you can see exactly what kind of a monster he is. Prison will not change the inner demon he is...other than add to his evil.
I applaud you all for your love & devotion toward animals and the world needs lots more like you!

Ali, you sound like a very intelligent, kind & compassionate girl & I hope your dream of becoming Vet comes true for you! What a wonderful Vet you would be! You're in my prayers hon!

Gabby, I cry thru those shows too! It makes me feel so helpless to help and I can't bear to see an animal suffer. I always wonder why there aren't more wealthy people giving money to help animals...Michael Vick should have had to pay HUGE money! I love your acreage plan....maybe I can join ya someday in creating a million acre critter reserve!! Your store sounds awesome & I love the hospitality! =^..^=

Catwhispers....WOW! Kvella Deville DEF looks like the Pink!!! Lol! Awesome face! Stunning eyes! BEEEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! I'm in love!

LOVE TO YAZ ALL!!!
