thanks so much, Ali

I updated on SSS forum again and really do want to thanks everyone so very much for supporting me thru this very traumatic time. Our family has felt the care and the effect of all the thoughts and prayers for us.
.

I think only animal lovers can truly understand the bond that forms between a person and a beloved pet.......and Shadow honestly is SO much more to us than a pet.
It's very hard to put into words how we feel about that lil dude.
Him having the neuro problems as well as the celiac type digestion really moved something deep in my son because of his Tourette Syndrome and Crohn's......
.

anyways
the new kitties checked out a-ok at the vet and mr Shadow is doing just fine...still sleeping a lot but is actually looking really healthy too, somehow more muscular so maybe during his ordeal something positive happened too.
.

with love to all
Cheri

Heart Chemar,

I am so glad that Shadow is doing Ok. We have recently had to have our 13 year old springer spaniel put to sleep due to a nasal tumour, and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I couldn't go to the vets with my mom and I cried for ages. They leave such a massive hole in your life. They are a family member as well as your best friend.
We have recently got another springer spaniel puppy called Jack (he's 15 weeks old but he was 9 weeks when we get him) I love him to bits but the only problem is I suffer from RSD in my left leg and my skin is sensitive which is annoying when he's jumping on my leg and it is really painful

Shadow is so cute! My grandads got a siamese cat called Maddie and she is cute too, I am more of a dog person but I love cats too. I can't understand why people hurt animals, it makes me sick!
I am an animal lover, I want to be a vet when I grow up.
I also own a dwarf russian hamster called Mishka, 2 roborovski hamsters that live together called Dolce and Gabbana, a parrot called Sparkey, chinchilla called Tabatha and 3 fish. I got my chinchilla from a rescue centre, her old owners abused her
.

Many thanks for listening
Love
Alison

wow Alison, you do have an interesting assortment of pets
.

how wonderful that you want to be a vet!

I am glad you have a new doggie.........my son got Shadow and his brother Twilight last year when his JR Terrier, Millie, died, and so we sure understand the heartache of a doggie departure
.

love

Wink I love that name.

"Maddie"... LOL

When our cats zoom around the house (mostly in the winter like now), we call it having the maddies!

Our two younger cats (Tippy is 13 now and not so young) play alot in the morning..hide and seek, and zoom zoom maddies! In nice weather they do it outside. Mostly in the morning. Our oldest can't run anymore (she is almost 20 now).

I am so glad now that Shadow is back and safe and happy.
Chemar-- you'll have the 4 of them doing the maddies daily! LOLOL

Just wanted to chime in again.
I understand how it is to lose a pet as well.
I feel as if our babies are like our kids!
I would be heartbroken 4 ever if i lost one of them!!

I am so glad to hear that Shadow found her way home!

In the event that my experience with a lost kitty might help someone in the future, I'd like to share what I did.

I had fostering a feral that accidentally escaped from my home. I knew, because she was still terrified of people (I am working on socializing her), there was no way I could ever find her in any traditional way. Even if I saw her, she would run.

I went to the local SPCA and borrowed a humane cage, the ones they use to catch ferals. (They asked for a $50 deposit, but the entire deposit was returned when I returned the cage).

I put it out right in front of my door, covered it, except for the entrance, with a towel (so if she was caught she wouldn't be as frightened), slipped in a bowl filled with real tuna & juce, and left it outside. I figured she would eventually get hungry enough, and she loooves tuna.

The first night, I caught a different cat and let it go.

The second night, I heard the trap door go about 2 a.m. It was her!

I brought in the trap, still covered, stood behind it so she wouldn't be frighteneed by me or possibly attack, and opened the door.

She dashed out, and although a bit shaken, within an hour or so, she was back to normal.

I'm so glad I thought of the trap idea. It would work with any cat, feral or not.

Default have to bump this up...

I ran into some photo shoot of the kittie spice girls, Chemar. So I saved it just for you.

Do you think your girls will look like this soon?

AND there is a website with more gorgeous shots... and you can even BUY one of
these wigs:

.

Check it out.....it is the latest thing! You must see.
for Pink Passion
Quote:

Pink is the color of fantasy. Our model, Chicken, looks like her mind is elsewhere when she wears this wig -- somewhere in a land of cotton candy and pinwheels where the air smells like sugar kisses.

Pink makes your kitty feel elegant, modern and quintessentially feline.
There are more pictures there... this is just too funny and silly. I love the cats' expressions tho.
