Exclamation MIA: My Handsome Tiger-boy!

Duncan, missing since 8/15/'07, last seen in Dalondale Subdivision near Ft. Oglethorpe, GA.

Three yr-old, neutered male. Cornish Rex body structure. Co-dependent cat needs me (and vice-versa, it turns out.) His housemate, Diana, misses him very much, as well.

Keep y'all's eyes open for him...he could be anywhere. Think an unscrupulous cat-hating neighbor may've trapped and transported him elsewhere. He didn't like it that Duncan liked to sleep on top of his cars. I should've listened when instinct came calling to tell me things!! Why don't I listen when it does that?

I attached a picture of Duncan in his favorite sleeping pose. He woke up just as the camera snapped. =^_^= Handsome boy with gold-green eyes!

Please don't feel too sad for me or for him. I know he's still out there, somewhere. I just don't know where. He may've even taken up with someone else by now and is in a household where he is top-cat. Maybe he didn't like being bullied by my mom's cats? (She has 3.) Who can tell? I'm just hoping that if he is travelling, that the far-flung people here might help me cast my net farther. If anyone has seen him, or sees him, just let me know.

As far as orange-striped tuxedo cats go, to me he is fairly distinctive-looking, with his egg-shaped torpedo head that appears to be a bit small for the rest of him...his extra-long legs and tail...his extra-flexible ring-tail...the diamonds on belly and chest...his 'floppy tiger's belly' that's peekaboo white (from the side)...his wide vocal range and facial expressions...his attitude...and his penchant for 'crazies' where he revvs-up like a wind-up toy and goes bouncing from floor to ceiling and all over like the ball in a pinball machine. A three, almost four-year-old cat who does this almost nightly! I cuss and yell when he breaks things, but can't stay mad at him when he turns on his engratiating cuteness. If he's still wearing his collar (it'd be miraculous), it sports a green 2007 tag from Montgomery, AL with name, address, and phone #, plus a copper diamond-shaped jingle that beats against the old blue tag. And he loves it when people rub and/or clean his ears...weird, isn't he?

Anyway, though I miss him greatly, the tears phase has passed. Now, I just wish to find him someday...whenever that day comes.

precious Duncan. He sounds wonderful. It's so sad when our animals disappear and we search and search for them to no avail. I hope too that Duncan is at the very least in another loving home. I'm sorry he disappeared.

Duncan is a very handsome fellow and a delight from your description.

My Mikey disappeared in 8/06 and I think of him every day. When I'm out in my car I catch myself still looking for him. He is also a beautiful yellow cat, a wonderful companion & more entertaining than the Comedy Channel. My hopes were raised several times. The local shelter called me three times, and one cat was wearing a collar exactly like his. But, no Mikey. I still hope he'll be returned to me someday. In the meantime I envision him in a loving home, spoiled rotten and amusing all with his antics.

I no longer allow my cats to go outside. Feel like a meanie but am selfish that way.

I hope your Duncan is returned to you. It is very possible. Your description of Duncan is beautiful; actually a poem for him. All it needs is a title.

Suz, all of my cats are indoors as well. I had way too many mishaps, including illnesses and diseases, when I let my cats come and go as they pleased. They are all used to it. They do sit in the windows in the nice weather and soak up the fresh air and chatter at the birdies outside, lol.

I just keep telling them all that they are much safer inside than they are outside and they nod their heads in understanding.

Mine are hard-headed and stubborn. Especially Duncan's housemate, Diana. Come warm weather, there is no keeping her in if she can see green grass, trees, or shrubbery to play in. And who could blame her? She was born and raised in the garden center at Home Depot! That's where she was caught and civilized by a friend of mine. And being outdoors is good for her 'cause it gives her adequate excercise. Cold months of the year it's easy to keep her in, since she decides she'd rather be an indoor-cat with only short spurts of 'outside-time', just to make sure it's still there. But without her Duncan to chase around the yard, she just wants to stay in. I need to put her on a diet, but that's hard to do at my mom's house 'cause my mom is pig-headed when it comes to dieting.
.
Lots of talk, no action...'course, that's par for the course for my mom...yet she wonders why I have trouble following through with projects and stuff--geez, does it take a rocket scientist to figure that one out?

Had a dream a couple of nights ago. Duncan was at a house I didn't recognize. Perhaps it meant something? I take dreams like this seriously, but can't act on them without clearer information from them. In any case, enough time had passed that his recollection of me was hazy. I'm waiting to see if the lightbulb clicks 'on'. ^_^

(((RW))) I'm just so sorry your baby went missing, but I'm thinking positive along with you that he is a happy baby somewhere with someone!

Hi Doody,
.

My three are also window cats and luv the back door which is paned glass.
They sit in front of it (a perfect little row of kittehs), doing "kitteh chatta" and their tails swishing from side to side. I luv that they are always in my front windows when I return home. Dogs at the door. Cats in the windows. A warm welcome always.

But what about those litter boxes! Lo. I really hate litter boxes. But they're worth it!
