Or anyone who knits and is interested. Here are pictures of Bruna's sweater vest that those ladies in Virginia make and donate to HUA.
This is the inside of the vest. It feels like felt maybe? The liner. On the collar/neck part, there is a nice little V shape. . And here's the outside part. . .

That is so dang cute! Thanks!
That's no simple knit/pearl either. somebody took a lot of effort there. Isn't that sweet, to know somebody sat and made that? . I bet fleece would work really well for a liner. And you can get scraps pretty cheap. Nice way to use up those last balls of yarn. I think I could measure my dogs and crochet something simple like that.

I knit long ago...well, really long ago, LOL. I would have to start all over again learning how.
