Could I give SAMe to our dog Cooper for his arthritis?

depending on weight, the dose changes.
Our vet gives SAMe to cats and dogs. Our cat took it for several months. I met a Rottweiler who took human dose SAMe daily. Rotties are BIG. The vet version you have to get on line or at a Vet (which I suggest for first use)...small animals take 90mg Denosyl. (This is SAMe for small weight cats/dogs) Larger dogs over 100lbs can take 200mg tabs of regular SAMe. Please consult your vet about this. It is very well known now. and safer than Remidyl which is just an NSAID and very expensive (like $60/month).

Our vet put him on some VERY expensive pills that were big and we could see no change in him at all. Maybe I'll try to find it online.
. He is a 55 lb airedale
