Thumbs up Dachshund plays fetch with himself

This is too funny.... you have to watch this.

If I am not mistaken, this dog is old...has gray hair on his muzzle!
But that does not diminish his enthusiasm!

I can think of one member who shall remain nameless until she sees this thread, who I think will just love this one seeing she has doxies herself.

Not mentioning any names.......

Wink I had to watch this again today...

I don't know if anyone here clicked on the description of the video?

I'll copy it here for you:
Quote:
I built the ball machine because I thought my dog Jerry, might like it and that it would be something fun for me to build. So after two years of on and off work, with many safety features such as IR proximity sensors to protect Jerry and my son from the machine, I finally complete.

Far from being a replacement for me, I was always right there with him enjoying his fun. And with all the troubles that I went through to build the ball machine, I still end up throwing more balls than that the machine could count! According to the computer, he played with the machine by himself only 3 times in his life.

I recently put this video on YouTube to keep alive my earlier memories of him and (hopefully) provide some "humorous distractions" for anyone that might drop by.

Please enjoy the video.
This YouTube was put up in Jan 08. And I get the feeling that the dog has passed. Anyone else get this impression?

It sure sounds like it doesn't it Mrs. D? The doxie looked the part of a senior citizen but sure was active in those videos.

It must have been part of a tribute from him I would guess.

That is an interesting story.
Perhaps it is the human quality/interaction that the dog really craved the most. Kinda makes sense.
Sniff.
