So very sorry about your loss. Yes, even the best trained dalmation can turn and snap without warning. Several years ago, I saw an AKC dog show where a gorgeous dalamation had won best of breed and on to best of group. At best of show, the dog snapped at the judge when being examined. He was excused from the ring, on the spot. Deep sigh.
. The bottom line is he was YOUR fur baby and eventually fit into your home. That is a blessing. Check out Rainbow Bridge. Sending comfort your way. |

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. This is what we were given when we lost one of our cats.
Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together. . . . |

I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier, but hope you know that I'm sorry about your lil poochie. Mine are getting older and it's just such a scary thought of not having them.
Hope you are doing ok and I'm thinking of you.

Hi Vowel Lady,
As a pet lover myself, my thoughts and prayers go out to you. It's so sad losing a pet because they really are a member of the family. I lost my Tia eleven years ago and some days it still hurts. A nice framed photo of him will always keep him close to you. Hugs and all the best. Bonnie (Sundog30) Quote:

Vowel Lady,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your furbaby. They become family. This is a beautiful poem called the rainbow bridge. I don't know if you ever read it, but it helped me when I lost my pup. My prayers are with you . Rainbow Bridge Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
