Heart Housecall tomorrow

Tomorrow I get to go visit a local who is wanting to adopt a lovely golden retriever from Hearts United for Animals. I do house visits for HUA. It is the last step in the approval process to get one of their precious babies.

I remember when mine was pending when I adopted Bruna. I was SO nervous! When I spoke with this potential adopter today, they sounded nervous, LOL. I think I convinced her I'm not a mean person coming over with a checklist and badge on my lapel.
.
(Well actually I do have my own checklist but they won't see it.)

I love doing these visits. I've met such wonderful people.

This is the beautiful girl I'm doing the house visit for, Diana. Yet another Missouri puppy mill survivor.

Have fun! I hope they pass with flying colors, and the doggy finds a new family. She's beautiful, and I bet she'll be a great buddy.

They always say they're coming to do a home check when I adopt, but never do. I think because I'm so far out of the way.

I know what ya mean about being nervous though. I was waiting for them to show up, vacuuming hair off the doggy beds, cleaning the 500 doggy toys, brushing the *boys*.

My latest adopt, Millie, has lost some weight and is walking and playing more comfortably for it.

.

she'll be 9 this month.

so how is Bruna doing?

A
.
she's just gorgeous.

If there's one plus about me living so far away from all you wonderful people, it has to be that I cannot get tempted to take home all the cute animals that need homes.

Cats, dogs, birds..... it doesn't matter to me. I love them all!

We do have animal rescue places here as well, but as much as I'd like another .... it's just not possible.

I hope Diana finds a wonderful home, with some-one who will treat her well, and give her all the love that she deserves.

Isn't she a cutie? Well, all of their animals are.

Braingonebad, LOL, yes! I was running around cleaning (more than I normally would!) making sure everything looked okay. I was so scared for the home visit.

Bruna is doing well, stinker that she is! If my son-in-law would get on it and send me the picture, I have a really cute one of her in an outfit at Christmas.

Anne, I know, love em all.

Default Beautiful

what a gorgeous girl...I love Goldens...when we spend the summer at our campground home..it is hilarious to see the number of Goldens that come camping with their people....during walks the Goldens all greet each other, play around, and are happy to see each other, even though they don't "know" one another.

My heart is happy knowing she is being resuced!!

I do too, Drea, I do too. I hope this lady gets her.

There are so many thousands upon thousands more, though.

Like Raven.

and Little Bart.
.

If the lady passes muster, then she said I can come visit Diana after she picks her up.

LOL Dottie, you crazy lady. Yes, HUA furbabies are all over the United States. Bruna's little baby, Inga, lives in New Mexico. They go everywhere. They have tons of doxies right now from a few major puppy mill busts this past late fall.

Quote:
We do send dogs on airplanes to new homes if there are safe flights. The cost of the flight is additional to the adoption fee. The cost varies depending upon the size of the dog, the airline, and the the method of shipping. We use our own kennels so that you do not have to buy one but ask that they be returned as soon as possible.

.
Jenny's email address is on this page. You know, GmaSue who lives not far from me also adopted from HUA. GmaSue is very special and very active in animal rights.

Well...Diana is one lucky golden furbaby. The home I visited is just too lovely for words. The lady is 3 years widowed, retired, and had to put down her last golden just this past fall. This lady is very anxious and if approved plans to ask if she can go to HUA this Saturday to get Diana. I just sent Jenny a glowing email of approval.

The lady said if/when Diana arrives at her new home, Bruna gets to have a playdate.
