I hear all of you! They are so stinkin' cute, how can anyone not want them all? Doody, those doxies sad lil faces, ya just wanna hug and kiss them.

.

A couple people in my 'hood have had danes, but gave them up - too hard to get them past that puppy thing, I guess. Once they're grown you know how sweet they are. But huge dogs are puppies, too. I met a Newfie breeder and a pyraneese breeder, and both had reinforced doors and boarded over windows, for safety, lol.

What people need to knw is how to train these giants, so they have success in keeping them.

Now if y'all are gonna run out and get a great dane you better read up on 'em first. I was surprised to learn they live 8-10 years. No wonder Lucy's buddy was referred to as an old man! He's 8. And there are great dane rescue groups out there too.
