We cremated our pets and have them sprinkled in the back yard, two of them. Maltese our older cat was also cremated but sprinkled over a pet cemetary.

We picked a place in the yard, and will have a rock with some flowers around it (pansies, perennials). To a casual visitor, it will be simply a pretty little spot (we hope) but our family will know whose spot it is.

Good idea, B2Y. It'll mean a lot to you and hopefully bring you comfort.

Default horse dogs cats

my mare sunshine is buried in a horse cemetary. there aren't many options with a horse.

smoky my cat is buried in a flower bed. we wanted him near us, but had to sell the farm and now the new owners have him.

i have dogs both buried and cremated. the vet advised taking them to the city pound for cremation. they did it for a $10 donation.

i have never had a problem with something digging them up.
