Default Poor little Bruna!

I took Bruna in for her annual checkup last week. I explained to the doc that she had been rubbing her ear a lot and scooching her butt. She got her shots and he checked her out and her a n a l sacs were impacted, so he fixed that and put medicine in.

We arranged for a dental this morning and he said he would do the sacs again while she was under and check her ear. Well, the ear was impacted with thick nasty hard stuff that he had to dig out. And he discovered a mess underneath. Her eardrum is punctured and was full of yuck!

My poor baby. Now she has to be on antibiotics for awhile and go back several times to possibly be sedated and her ear cleared again.

Her sacs still had grainy material in them so those got cleaned again and more medicine in the sacs.

Her gum line is really bad in a few places in the back from when she was in the puppy mill, but he cleaned her teeth and found that all the teeth otherwise are healthy.

I so hope she hasn't been in a lot of pain with her ear!

Bless her heart! I hate it when my pets aren't feeling well.

I'd take the pain for them if I could....really, I'd rather deal with it myself than have to watch them struggle. They're so sweet and innocent. Unlike me!

I hope Bruna feels better soon.

Poor thing! Picked her up after work and the doc had saved the stuff from her ear so that I could see what came out....because they were so shocked by it.

After removing the yuck from the outer ear he saw the problem. They started flushing and tons of awful stuff came out of her inner ear.

He said there is still a flap of ear drum there and is hopeful that it will mend. In the meantime, she is on an antibiotic for 60 days. 2x/day I have to put a medicine in her ear and 1x/week flush it with something they also sent home.

She has to go back in 2 weeks and they are going to flush her ear again. Try and keep it clean while it's healing.

She was very quiet and could have cared less when I arrived! But on the way home her tail started to wag and I got a kiss.

$211 later...oi vey. Glad I got my tax return is all I know!

Thanks you guys.
