i have a foster animal im looking to find a home.hes not had the best life to date and deserves better than what he has or what he had.his name is simon, hes about 4 years old and is front declawed.(not my doing)he came from a home with 6 other cats who werent real nice to him.simon always seemed to be the whipping post. they had enclosed litter boxes and it seems that every time simon came out of one the other cats would attack him.violently. soooooooooo he came to the mind that if he was going to be attacked every time he came out of one of those things,he just wouldnt go in.and he went off to a corner or behind the sofa.he now has a phobia of covered litter boxes.but he is a kicker so he does need a deep pan.he's been here at my house for about 7 months and hasnt had any outside the box incidents.also from what i understand the womans husband was not real sympathetic to simons plight.he does warm up to women quicker than men.he wont be the 'turnkey' kind of cat.its going to take some effort and time, but he wants to have that lap spot again.he wants attention.but he seems to be afraid of getting dumpped at a shelter again.he'd do best as an only cat but might be ok with one other cat if its not the domineering sort.he'd certainly do best without dogs around or small children chasing him around.simon need a home with the patientce, and compassion and time to let him learn that dealing with people can be a positive again
this is him......

Bless his little heart! I wish I could take him! I already have 2 and just cannot afford anymore.
Thank you for giving him a safe home and I pray that someone who'll love him will come along and adopt him. I won't say what I'm hoping will happen to the family that abused him..... .

Hey, FluteMaker, bless your kind heart! What's the 2-yr update? Is Simon enjoying life in a home of his own? I recently adopted a 7-yr old orange male called Buster. I call these wonderful guys Peter Pan cats: They never really grow up, & they love being mothered. What a joy to share a home with one.
