Our little baby is still doing well, although he has one crippled foot, and can't climb far, but is very active.
.

We can't really tell the sex of the cockatiel until about 5-6 months when they start changing color on the head/face.

Default Update

The little baby, (named Scruffy, for now! lol) is growing, and his feathers have almost grown back, now he has a 'collar' of white/yellow feathers around his neck. He's getting back to cute again!

'Scruffy' is still doing well, in fact, he's doing better than we thought he would be, his feet are working normally now, and he can climb. 3 days ago, he managed to climb the ladder and get onto the perch, now he climbs up and jumps off and gets back up, time after time! lol

I'm so pleased to hear that Jaime. I must admit I was more than a little concerned about your little one.

Our Reg has developed some antics lately that some might find amusing.

His cage has fabric covers for night time. I actually made his covers in 3 parts, one for the top which has a little overhang on each side, and one each for the sides. The purpose of these covers is to shade his cage from the hot sun when he's outside, and to cover him at night.

Naturally he sleeps inside at night, and when he wants to go to bed to starts running up and down .... at the same time looking up at the top of the cage. This is our cue to put the cover on the top of his cage.

He's usually happy just to have the roof on for about half an hour while he watches some TV, but after that he'll climb up the side of his cage and tug on the little side bits that overhang.

When he does that he's trying to pull the sides down on his cage, and that's our cue that he wants to be covered up so he can go to sleep. That's when we cover him up for the night, because he says so ... and he who says so must be obeyed!
.

Cockatiels are so intelligent and so very amusing.

Yes, they are funny sometimes. Georgie, has added a few more words to his vocabulary now. We put a swing with bells on it in his cage, but he doesnt use the swing, he stands on the perch and attacks the bells madly with his beak, then sticks his wings out and says 'come on, come on', it's funny to watch.

Default Georgie

These are the most recent pics I took of Georgie. It is very hard to get a close shot of him, because we won't sit still with the flash going off!

Thank you Jaime... he's so cute, and ... he's so similar to our Reg in looks.
.

I'll have to get an updated photo of our bird soon, but to for me to look at your Georgie, I'm seeing a double for Reg.

Georgie is the oldest of the babies. But the youngest one is doing well too, I just haven't got any recent photos of him yet.

Default Scruffy

Pics I took yesterday of Scruffy, (haven't changed the name yet! lol), the youngest baby. He's doing well, and loves climbing, and loves playing with the bell we put in his cage.
He has some unusual markings, a yellow crest and neck band and yellow feathers at the tips of the wings. I'm hoping he is a male!
