All the birds are doing well. It's funny at the moment, as the youngest bird, Scruffy, is copying everything...and I mean everything...Georgie, the oldest, says! It's like an echo in the mornings, copying eachother...and they can whistle the same tune in unison...most times! lol It took me a while to get Scruffy to say his own name, as he was always repeating 'Georgie Porgy' all the time...but he says both now! lol

I'm so pleased to hear that latest news about your 'flock'.
. I took some new photos of Reg recently with my phone camera but I can't get them out! I can't remember how to. . I guess that tells you how long ago it was since I used the camera on my cell phone. .

A new pic of the youngest, Scruffy, who is about 7 months old now. He's almost got all his face coloring!

He's so cute Jaime
. He looks to have some grey on his face and in his comb, where our Reg has mostly yellow colouring. I must take some new photos of him! Our bird has developed a very strong personality, and what Reg wants... Reg gets, because we cannot stand the noise he puts up if he doesn't get his own way! . He's not increased his vocabulary although he does "talk" to us rather seriously at times. He chatters away, obviously trying to tell us something, or else trying to repeat what we've said, but it doesn't quite come out clearly enough to be understood. For some reason 3:30pm seems to be the time of day that he's set aside for his "chat" time.

They all have their own personalities, and different habits...don't they...lol
Georgie likes to do his talking in the evening when we are watching the News at 6pm...so that's when I cover him up, and he goes quiet! But there are a few ads on TV that get him chirping, even when he's covered up for the night. If the ad has music, singing or whistling in it, he starts making a noise! lol Georgie doesn't say all the things he has learnt, all the time, one day he will repeat 2 or 3 words, then another day he'll repeat different words! Scruffy has copied everything Georgie says, but won't make a sound while I'm looking at him, and he'll talk softly when I cover him up for the night! .

My cockatiel is pulling out his feathers, not the little fluffy ones, but his long wing feathers.
I wouldn't normally be concerned about this because he did pull out some of his long ones last year coming into summer, and I assumed it was part of the moulting process. What's different this year is that he's hurting himself in the process. He'll pull on a feather and cry out, then he'll keep pulling and keep crying until he gets the feather out. It's definitely a painful yelp, and not one of his usual noises. Does anyone know if this is normal?

I don't know if it is normal or not, but doesn't seem to be, to me. I wonder why he is doing it? Sorry, I don't have any answers!
We had the problem of the mother plucking the feathers of the babies, so we had to rescue them. But now we don't have the mother anymore, we gave her to a friend, (who has Reggie, the father) and she is breeding again with her old partner! lol We have 3 of their babies still. Georgie, Charlie & Scruffy. Last week we put the 2 boys into a big cage together. They keep their distance from eachother, but they haven't fought yet! Here is a pic taken today, of Scruffy, the youngest, in the bigger cage. ~Jaime~

Thanks Jaime. I'll keep an eye on him and see if it continues or not. He's only taken out about 4 over the past few days but it's quite obvious that it hurts him, so I thought I'd ask the question.
Scruffy looks cute. He has a cheeky look on his face .

New Pics of Georgie and Scruffy. My 2 'boys' are loving their big cage. They seem to be getting on well, but they like to pull eachother's tail...it's like a game of 'tag', when I watch them! lol They don't fight, but they like their own side of the cage, away from eachother most of the time! lol
