Default Question on Neuropathy Support Formula

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post here. Thanks for setting up such a wonderful forum. My husband is 40 yrs old and has been diagnosed with PN for over an year now. He is pre diabetic but is not on any medication. His neurologist has run several tests but couldn't identify the cause. He said it is PN and if it gets worse he will give us some pain medication. We would like to avoid taking those meds as long as possible as they have many side affects. I have been searching for some alternate medicines and came across neuropathy support formula from neuropathy treatment group.

I would like to know if anyone on this forum has actually taken this medication and found it useful and more importantly are there any side affects of this medication?

Thanks a lot for your time!

We have had some questions, but no return feedback.

Here is a thread:
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...upport+formula

The bottom line is that this is a combination product with several things in it. It can not be easily tailored to personal needs.

If a person is not deficient in some of the ingredients, it is rather useless to use them and spend money for them.

Diabetics and prediabetics do well on R-lipoic acid, but the Neuropathy formula does not have the stabilized form in it...at least they don't label it as such. New information shows that the stabilized form is way more absorbed than plain ALA or R-lipoic unstablized.

He also needs testing to show what his B12 and Vit D levels are.
If neither are low taking more is not necessarily going to work.

Best to make a post here with more details, and medical history, so our members here can get a feel for what is going on.

Thank you for your response. I did browse through the link that you posted. Regarding ALA, during the purchase of the NSF they asked for a separate order for ALA for advanced patients, i haven't gone through that yet as i first wanted to give the basic one a try. I will post his details to give a better understanding abt where he stands.

Thanks again!

Please read our threads here on ALA vs RLA and stabilized.

Don't waste your money until you know what you are buying.
