Has anyone tried Oil of Oregano for PN? Someone recently told me about it -
that it helps with the pain of neuropathy. Before I order it I would like to hear from anyone who has tried it, and if it helped or not. Thanks, Flora. |

Are you using this topically?
Or in capsule form orally? Topically some products contain a specific form of geranium oil, and that has a patent for neuropathy. It is an essential oil and must be diluted to use on the skin.

I haven't tried it yet in any form - just heard about it and wondered if someone had used it (in either form) and if there were any good results.

So no, I don't know much about Oregano oil. I wish I could help you with this, but I have no experience with it.

We've used internally but not for PN. It really must be diluted with a fatty oil because it is considered a "hot" oil and can irritate your skin. Make sure that you buy one already diluted. If you buy the pure essential oil of oregano, you will have to dilute it yourself and if you are not experienced using essential oils, then opt for one already diluted. Also, do a patch test on your self to see if your skin reacts. And, if you get it on a sensitive area, flush it with a fatty oil. Plain water will just spread it.
Zand is good brand to try. The other is called Oreganol. Both are diluted. I'll have to try it on my shoulder and see if helps an old injury that's been causing trouble lately. |

I have taken Oil of Oregeno internally for candida, inflamation, and as a natural antibiotic. That is what it is known for, anti fungal.
It is STRONG stuff. If you take it beware it can cause die off affects, and have difficult side effects as it dumps toxins into the blood stream. Never used for PN |
