Default stopping Plavix and ASA in prep before EMG

Question:

How many days is it normal to stop ASA before EMG, and Plavix?
I know the prescribeing doc needs to order this, and the performing doc needs to be informed. But there is resally poor communication, and I seem to be the initiater always to get things done the right way.
I looked up different sites, and from previous experience, I think Plavix 3 - 5 /7 days, and ASA 3 days? depending on the individual risk.
(I had problem getting a hold of the docs, but will try again tomorrow)

I don't know about Plavix, but ASA has always been 5 days before a procedure for me. Is it 81 mg or 325mg? It all depends on the risk also...some will go ahead with simple EMG (minimally invasive) while still taking if they think risk coming off thinners is high enough.

Best to ask your prescribe doctor.
