There is one paper on animals and
The older form that has suggested ALA interference Of T4 conversion. But that was many years ago. No others I am aware of. No further Details either. You can search PubMed yourself -- use Thiotic acid as many papers call ALA by this older name. This has never been looked into with The newer R-lipoic either. It has been Suggested that the inactive S- form in ALA may be the culprit. Many lay Internet sites mention this without Further explanation.
