Hi, I am currently in a spa with mineral hot springs and taking my baths twice every day. My hands are aching a lot more than before, without apparent reason. Does anyone has experience with hot springs and neuropathy?

Prolonged heat treatment can make nerves very sensitive and over stimulated.
I use cold treatment with more success than heat. If you stay to warm for too long, the nerves may not settle down for quite a while. People with RSD (CRPS), a special form of neuropathy, prefer the heat over the cold. But most PNers prefer cooler temperatures.

Could it be a sign of healing, though? I'm a bit desperate, that's why I've ended up both in the spa and on this forum...

hard to tell if the nerves are all stimulated....by heat.
Heat only increases inflammatory responses. If that is the problem it will make the nerves worse. Heat is best for circulation issues, and then done very carefully for short periods. Determining healing is better done at normal temps, I think. I was told 15 minutes by a therapist if heat is used at all. When using epsom salt soaks only lukewarm water should be used.

Yes, it is possible you are overdoing it. Staying out of the heat, for a while and evaluating any changes will tell you more.

Not nice. I came here relaxed and without pain after 2.5 months swimming in a normal-temperature sea (I live in Greece), and my both hands deteriorated here in one week, visibly. It must be an inflammation. going to see a neurologist this week. Any quick help I can ask him for, anti-inflammatory? My right hand is visibly disabled, my left is following and I absolutely cannot let it go worse.. I mean, you just can't live properly with two hands disabled ((
