Lightbulb New research shows how nerve axons are damaged:

This link was posted recently on our PD forum.

https://www.sciencedaily.com/release...0324104924.htm

It focuses on how axons become damaged, and offers hope to find a way to prevent this. I find this very hopeful for us for PN. And the immune system link is also something many of us can relate to as well.

Thanks Mrs. D. The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy posted the videos of the presentations from the 2016 Symposium. Dr. DiAntonio presented research on this topic, SARM1 and how it damages the axons by destroying their fuel supply (NAD). I found his talk intriguing. I am so appreciative of having people like Dr. DiAntonio interested in understanding these complex processes. Here's the link for those who may not have seen it. His is the first presentation. 216 FPN Research Symposium - The Foundation For Peripheral Neuropathy
