I live in Thailand and was recommended a herb that is produced here " Butea superba" to spice up my libido as most of you know a cocktail of meds can have an adverse effect in that department. Short story, it works and maybe works to well but that's a good thing
However that's not what this is about. Another effect of this herb is incredible stamina and energy .. The energy boost is simply amazing but that's not what this is about either. I have PN pretty bad with not much feeling in my feet and finger tips along with painful knees and heavy as lead legs and trouble climbing and descending steps. This all changed dramatically when I started this herb. Firstly the burning has decreased to where I no longer notice it. Also my knee pain and dead legs simply went away and I can climb stairs without the slightest difficulty So I started walking and walking 8 to 15 km a day! ( average about 6 miles) And could have walked double that. I got a step counter and you can see the results. It's simply a miraculous turn around. Just wanted to share and perhaps it may help some one else. Last edited by zorro1; 05-15-2017 at 11:17 PM. |

That is amazing.
So I looked this up--- Butea superba - Scientific Review on Usage, Dosage, Side Effects | Examine.com Were or are you using opioids for chronic pain? If yes, then this testosterone boosting herb could help with the hypothalamic reduction in male hormones over time caused by long term opioid use Posters here should note however that this herb has not been studied in depth yet. and use by women may yield different results.

I also use Lyrica cut back from 300 mg to 200 mg in the last few days. Still taking 25mg amitriptyline just because it makes me feel good especially with sleep I'm on the max dose of this herb 3 capsules 450 mg a day and it feels like a bit to much, hard to explain but feel giddy in the stomach and the need to keep moving and restless legs. As you know it's not well researched barely out of rat testing but I can confirm it's bloody potent! Last edited by zorro1; 05-16-2017 at 10:33 AM. Reason: AXA |

Just be careful with it.
Sometimes there can be a "honeymoon" period when starting a new thing/ in this case a herb. Herbs are mini-drugs and can have unexpected results over time. There could be a lingering toxicity, or a tolerance. Some herbal substances affect blood clotting too. This one doesn't have much of a history of data, so there might be surprises with it. I'd back down to a dose that works for you but does not have bothersome side effects.

I don't know if this herb is effectively reducing my symptoms or whether it's a result of the irrisistable urge to keep moving that's giving me much needed exercise and providing a knock on effect in the pain department as well as building up muscles in the legs to help support pressure on my knees.
In any case I use it to love hiking and will be back at it again because I can ☺ In the mean time will drop the dosage. |

It looks to me to be rather dangerous.

I have been contemplating posting more about this herb and what my conclusions are after a months use. Firstly when opening the container and taking in a strong whiff the smell is very very pungent like marijuana. The effect on pain control is unbelievable. Specifically the effect on that abrasive horrible burning associated with PN As an aphrodisiac its effect is a bit to strong to the point of distraction. I'm hoping somebody else can try this and verify my observations Regarding the dangers, well what drug isn't, it's a matter of risk vs reward. |

I really don't think experimenting with this herb is a good idea.
1) You may find that you develop a tolerance to its pain relieving properties and/or it may stop working. 2) This testosterone stimulation is not going to be good for the women here. 3) Elevations in testosterone in males, (like the patches and gels on RX in this country) have shown heart attack side effects, and stroke risks. There are malpractice attorneys working on suing the drug manufacturers for this, as it is not rare. There are no longer RX TV ads for these products here too. 4) There is no accurate data on other effects of this herb...so I would not recommend it here for posters to experiment with.

Living with a low libido and the effect on my relationship and living with extra pain is also not a good idea How does adding a herb to an already dangerous cocktail of drugs make it all of sudden more dangerous? I'm in no way suicidal but if this herb struck me down then I it would not bother me, however years of drug cocktails have not, so I seriously doubt a plant will ☺ |
