Does Anyone Know?
Hi,
Does anyone know of any Docs that get RSD? Because I don't. Hugs, Roz |

I was wondering that myself! :D I'd love to hear of any... or Doc's children that have RSD! |
Well, we know of “Duke” the Florida surgeon from BT1, whose teenage daughter had a near miraculous recovery from ketamine infusions.
Beyond that, my anecdotal information suggests that some docs are nearly monomaniacal about getting blocks at the first indication of trauma, well before chronic pain has set in. For all I know, that may well prove to be the "gold standard" for treatment in the future. Mike |
When we were on the old forum I recall a Dr. committing suicide in New York. He wasn't on the forum but I believe the article was put on.
Other then that, don't know of any. Ada |
there's a doc in the philly area who has rsd.....his name is knobler and he's a neurologist....the last i heard, it was limited to his foot.....he used to head up jefferson's rsd clinic, but has semi-retired to a private practice.

I think Chirogeek on the old spinal boards has RSD, but he wont totally admit it lol.
There was about 3 years there the doctors had me believing my pain was in my head, or caused by back troubles. He had a lot of the symptoms of RSD, but wouldnt admit it is real. We had many conversations on the subject. He does have a lot of good info on his website though http://chirogeek.com/ Check it out, you will see if you read about all his symptoms why I think he has RSD. Plus you will learn how to read an mri, and all about the spine, nerves, and all related material lol. |
I know one or two
Pain dr. dr. Melvin in fla had rsd- diagnosised in first 3 months cured. also oneof the rsd books is written by a doctor who has rsd full body.

Hi All--There is a prominent Neurologist in Fresno with RSD (his son has it also--not sure if I should post names...); also, years ago when I had RSD in my left lower leg, the Doc in San Francisco who did the surgical sympathectomy got RSD in her hip after a car accident. If I recall correctly, she had the lumbar blocks done ASAP, and her RSD resolved.

My doc has had RSD, but he got his into remission.. he was soo stunned at the lack of doctors in the area and state that he droped his anesthisology fellowship and did pain management. He is one of 2 i think in the upstate NY area that does interventonal treatment for RSD!! I love him and it only puts more trust in him that he knows EXACTLY how i feel!!

We also had a doc
We also had a doctor that commited suicide form the long term pain and residual pain problems, CRPS likely. He had been hit by a car riding his bicycle. The broken bones healed, but all the RDS pain must have set in...
Doctos become so detached from humanity that they can not handle the pain. We likely don't hear about them because they give up practice and crawl into the holes we find ourself in..... di |
