New dmd

My neuro wants me to start Aubagio. Anyone taking that or know someone taking it? Im really hesitant to try it, but wanted some input before I make a final decision.

Here's what the FDA says about it:

This link tells more about the drug:

KL, does your Neuro have anyone else on it? Has he been following how others are doing on it. I would look to your Doc to protect you from anything that may harm you.

Good luck if you decide to take this med and I wish you only good results.

I am curious as to the cost vs other DMD and also the hair loss

Have tried searching, nut no luck...What does DMD refer to?
Thanks.

With love, Erika

I am afraid to take any drug that affects my major organs or is a threat to getting cancer...

Kitty 10-22-2012 10:50 AM

I'd be more apt to try something if it didn't have such major side effects. Sometimes I can't understand the benefit of it when it potentially causes so many other problems.

I hear BG-12 is much safer to take but isnt FDA approved yet. I would try that one, I told neuro put me on LDN until BG-12 comes out, but now he wants an office visit. I know what that means.... he will badger me until I give in to aubagio. I dont like this. My dh said I better get on some MS med or I could lose my SSDI. Im so confused and upset by everything, my heads spinning.

Kitty 10-22-2012 11:50 AM

You can't lose your SSDI because you aren't on a DMD. He's just using a scare tactic. What about those who can't take them because of allergic reactions?
