Won't be able to post for awhile!!

Hi all. I don't want to go into all particulars on this forum because anything I write is out there for all to see. Alan and I are going through some stuff that will not allow me sufficient time to come on this forum for quite some time.

Oh, one good thing. Alan's foot ulcers are healed and he has begun receiving laser treatment on his psoriasis so THAT in itself is a miracle. He was covered from head to to with psoriasis. The laser and the compound cream cleaned him from above the waist. Now we are working on the bottom part of his body. This laser thing is amazing.
Love to all.

Oh, Mel. I am sorry you are having stressors now, and esp in this heat! I'll be thinking of you.

Do you want your email out there on Google? Just a reminder about that. Things here usually get picked up quickly by the Google bots for searches. Just asking.

I'll be gone most of August too. Please stop in at your convenience to keep us up to date.

I hope all works out well for you.

Take care!

Thanks Mrs. D. Actually I'll have a brand new service in September so I won't have Verizon anymore. But I'll delete it anyway just to be on the safe side. I don't get any notifications from replies on this forum and I have NO idea why. I did everything that was suggested and still I don't get email notifications. Maybe when I get my new email provider and I update on this forum, maybe THEN I'll get email notifications. But until then, I will try and stop in from time to time. But honestly, it's 97 degrees here in Brooklyn. My apartment is 93 degrees. We only have a/c in the bedroom and that's where I'm right now.

So thanks for the kind words. You take care,

Love ya, Mel

It is still really hot here as well.... and our frig died Weds night, and we have 3 bags of Ice in it and a cooler going. Delivery was just confirmed by phone for Monday between 11am and 3pm, for the new one. I hope that does not change for some reason.

My angioedema flaired up again (twice since my foot surgery), and my GI tract would not take any food. So yesterday was water and a 24 hr fast.

I am trying tiny bits of food today, but still need my GI antispasmotic drug for support.

We don't have central A/C either. :thud:

I really feel bad for others like me who have no a/c in their living rooms but only in the bedroom. I'm afraid to keep running it because it's 15 years old. It still works fine but jeez. It's old. Today they expect the heat index to be 105. What the hell kind of weather is this? This is Brooklyn NY for heaven's sake. We don't get heat index's of 105. NEVER.

Well, I do remembere when I was 18 and coming home from work (this was over 47 years ago (not good at math, lol) and I remember looking upwards over the bank and they had the temperature and the time. I remember seeing it saying 105. I remember people walking around me with bottles of water and pouring the water over their heads. Oh, I think this was 1965 and then we had the BIG blackout and I remember reading that 9 months later there was a baby boom. God, the stuff I remember. lol

...global warming/climate change. Not trolling for a political debate -- that's all I'm going to say on the subject. :D

Hope things work out for the best for you & Alan.

Evaporative cooling (spray bottle and window fan :D) can work wonders.
