Wanted to check back in

I'm feeling better, as far as the vertigo and balance. Still dealing with it but thankfully it's not as bad as the past few days. Right now the biggest thing is fatigue. I am sleeping more now than I ever have, wake up and within an hour or 2 I'm ready to go back to sleep. I take Provigil and it doesn't even phase me.

A neuro (not my neuro) finally called me yesterday. He said he thought I should go to the ER and be admitted for at least 3 to 5 days of IV steriod treatment. Yeah I've been feeling worse than ever the last week, but sorry just not bad enough to check myself into the hospital. All I wanted was something to ease the vertigo...not a week in the hospital. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'll just tough it out. Would much rather sleep 20 hours in my own bed.

Anyway, I am feeling better and want to thank all of you for the thoughts and prayers. You are all the best!

Maybe you can call your doctor on Monday and see if he'll order home IV treatment? I agree that there is no place like home to get better. Thanks for checking in and letting us know how you are doing.

Suzy!
Suzysuzysuzy!

I'm trying to remember. Didn't you try the IV thing before? Just curious.
And I know I'm being a hypocrite, but sometimes getting up and moving some can give you a little charge.

But dizziness and vertigo with walking could make you fall and then you would want to sue me for bad advice...:o

Anyhow-itzer. Hope you're feeling beter soon.:)

Moose. MooseMooseMoose.....

What am I gonna DO with you?! No, seriously, I had to laugh at this. :D When I was sick with the flu years ago (pre-MS), so sick that I could barely pull myself to the bathroom, my dear, sweet, well-meaning (??) DH suggested that I get up and move around. Maybe try doing a load of laundry or something and maybe I might feel better. Good for him that I was too weak to even respond to that suggestion!!

In all honesty, though, sometimes moving around DOES make you feel better. Gets the blood flowing and sort of perks you up.

Sorry....unintentional hijack of thread....http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/k...backingout.gif

Totally understand the wanting to stay at home thing. I totally do not like hospitals.

If the neuro really gets on ya to take the 'roids, look into the option of getting them at home. It may help.

Hope you feel much better soon.

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better!

Glad you're feeling a bit better.

Fatigue is so hard to deal with...I've tried to push through it, even driving to the gym to exercise...couldn't get out of the car, so I drove home and went back on the couch.

You'll know if you need to go in for 'roids...listen to your body, and take care!

I'm glad you're feeling somewhat better, Suzy. I totally understand the fatigue and the need to sleep a lot.

Suzy glad you are feeling better! Make sure you do what you need to do to keep feeling better even if it is IV Roids!
