Text messages from Labor and Delivery

My DD Gina is a week overdue with her first pregnancy. She is in the hospital...ahem...Medical Center (whatever happened to hospitals?)... right now. Her little guy should make an appearance some time today!

I just received this text message:

"I love epidurals! I feel sorry for you having to truly labor. It also helped me [to] like Lance again."

"They broke my water at 5:15. I lasted an hour before giving in."

Guess I'd better get a bag packed -- she lives 180 miles away. Must go to work first and get my traffic tickets entered for the county.

I wonder how big he'll be? We tend to have very large babies in this family! Gina was exactly 10 lbs. Small potatoes compared to her brother at 11 lbs. 2 oz. He was a breeze, though, and she was difficult and came out sunny-side up. I'm rambling. Will update later.

Wahoo! hes coming, hes coming. Peyton is making his way here.

Wow, Deji! You remembered his name!

I got the word from Gina that it's "PAyton" because (she explained) they have to "Pay a Ton!"

How exciting!!!! Love the name and the reason behind it.

I will have to check back for updates. I hope she has a short labor.

Hehe, that's not really the reason to spell his name Payton -- Gina was just helping me to remember (cause I keep asking!)

Off to work, then to Labor and Del. Will update when I can.

How exciting! A new baby! I hope all goes smoothly for her and she's home soon. Epidurals are wonderful! I had one with my second child and would never again attempt to try it without one.

Let us know when he gets here, Grandma!

How awesome! Payton is almost here or maybe as I type!:D

"I think he's stuck!"

"Well, they upped the pit drip to near max and I'm not progressing as well as I should. They'll still keep monitoring through, and see how I do.

I think he's stuck!" :p

Well, I can't blame him for wanting to stay safe and secure where he is......but I'm sure Momma wants him to move out!

Hope the meds work and things get going soon. Keep us updated! :)
