Holiday Fun

Merry Christmas To All

I thought just for fun we could have a thread listing the worst Christmas presents given to someone with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome:
Here's mine

1. A set of weights.

5000 piece jigsaw puzzle.

Healing magnets from my mother who then told me to use them but save them for her to borrow also. (bit hits on quackwatch.org)

A few presents put on my lap and told "ok, open your present!" and by #2 I couldn't move my forearms anymore and had to ask for help repeatedly.

Arriving to my mom's and having side dishes to make, gravy to stir, etc., as if TOS didn't exist!

Oh boy, no wonder I don't mind staying home and cuddling in bed with the dogs...

A car with a manual transmission and no power steering.

A book on 50 ways to style your hair!

uuuuh oh... i'm thinking someone got astern a vacuum cleaner. and the ever-popular vibrating iPod speaker rocking chair.

i'm not good at picking out gifts but... wow.

turtlenecks

I used to like them, but the burning neck pain frequently causes excessive sweating, so I can't wear long sleeves even in the winter. Stop buying me turtlenecks, Mom !

You guys are funny. Actually it is around 6:30 am and I have been wrapping presents since 3:30. That is my worst present. Also, figuring out that the amount of children and presents are not equal. Have to go out again when I thought I was over.!

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone enjoys their families and friends on this Holiday. Linda

hmmm.... good point about the turtlenecks Finz...i've had to be careful which sweaters I wear now. I had a couple of wool ones I loved, but they drive me nuts now. Oh well. I'm a guy, so I guess I can get away with wearing just a couple of different sweaters.

Merry Christmas to all!
Happy Festivus too!! :p

That's why gift bags are so wonderful!!!! Nothing at my house would be wrapped this year if it weren't for them!

A vacuum is not a good Christmas present even if you don't have TOS! My ex- husband got me one for Christmas one year.....his boss warned him ahead of time that was a mistake and at the very least he needed to get me something to go with it. Every time his boss would see me the whole year he'd ask "how's the vacuum" knowing that would get me going again! LOL
