Leaving again and my mom
 

My youngest son and I are flying to Pittsburgh again tomorrow afternoon. My mom is in hospice care now and has decided to stop all treatments. :( It is the best decision for her. My son Jake really needs to see his Grandma before she goes. My oldest son, Jesse is staying behind to take care of my dh until my mom's funeral. I just feel numb right now. It still feels like a nightmare that I'm gonna wake up from soon. My dh feels horrible because he can't make the trip. He is just too sick to go. :( Thanks for all of the support through all of this, you have know idea how much all of you have helped me :).

There is never a good time for any of this, J, and you've handled it all like a champion. There is nothing to say that can make this any easier for you, but know that many of us are praying for you and yours. ><>

I'm so sorry this is happening....like GJ I just want to make it all better. I'm glad that you and Jake are going to visit. I know it's hard but there's never an easy time for any of this. It's been 70 hellacious days since we first found out about the tumor??!! It feels like yesterday:(. My baby sister has lost 20 pounds since this started. She's 34 years old, 5 feet 7 inches and weighs 95 pounds!! :( She already has arthritis! I hope we can all get some peace soon. I really need to be able to stop worrying about everyone and everything. We didn't get to go on the spa vacation with my mom, she wanted to go so badly. My sister wants me and her to go anyway, for my mom :). I think we will need it desperately.

My heart goes out to you and your family Joelle, at this difficult time in your lives.

It's not easy from one whose been there too, but please remember we'll all be by your side.

Joelle, I am so sorry. I have no words to offer you, but can offer thoughts and prayers. I hope things happen peacfully, and you are able to grieve, and get your faimly well. I know it is 2 hours away, but my mom lives in HBG, and if you need ANYTHING... she will be there... really. She loves to help out when she is needed. Please do not hesitate to call if y ou need anything.. a ride, a meal, someone to sit with you and listen pray with you, help you with your son... anything...

Hey Joellee~ Well, I am really sorry to hear that. You have done all that you can and your Mom needs to be at peace. It's hard to understand that right now, and it's still a little raw or me, as you know I have been there.

Feeling helpless is hard and saying goodbye is even harder, but Mom knows you love her and she loves you all... that is why she has made the decisions she has. She's only saying Goodbye for now, so it's really more of a "I'll see you again someday". Just try to imagine Mom in the best spa treatment of her life, w/no pain and only joy when she goes to the Lord.

Awwwww Joellelee, so sorry to hear your Mom isn't improving. I have to respect her wishes, though. Can't blame her for her decision.

I'm so sorry you have to go through this. It's so darn hard, I know. I am so glad you will get to see her again, though and that your son will , too. That is important.

I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers. Saying goodbye to one of our family members is hard especially a parent. I am glad that you have the opportunity to be able to do so and spend that time with your Mom.

I too hope that you get to go on the spa treatment with you sister. You both will need it and deserve it for being such wonderful and loving daughters.
