How are you feeling now? Believe it or not Spring is coming. My grandaughter who lives in Chicago just told me she' s coming to see me in April. Hurry April! It's hard to believe that Alffe is down there in Florida wearing short sleeves! Keep those funnies coming. I really enjoy them!

Wren 03-05-2014 08:14 AM

Bless your heart, Barbo. Thank you.
After that horrible weekend snow storm I was able to finally leave the house yesterday ..... took a cat to the vet - he's coughing ever once in a while, got him home and then went to the police station to get even more papers for that identity theft thing. Came home, ignored the paper work and made even more junk - almond fudge.
I make soooooo much junk, too much. My upright freezer in the garage is packed full of cookies. My refrigerator is packed full of candy. Tonight I'll take piles of this stuff to Bible study and get rid of it.

If I were there I'd take some of that junk off your hands!!

Wren 03-05-2014 04:01 PM

Oh dear Barbo -------- you could have all you wanted!

FeelinGoofy 03-05-2014 05:35 PM

I'd gladly take some of that "junk" off your hands :) {{{HUGS}}}

They have raised the price of a key lime pie bar since last year but since I only get them once a year, I pay it! Have tried to make them at home but can't get the choc covering right....bet you could dear wren.

Mr.Alffe gets a drumstick at the same place for a buck, so he thinks I am crazy to pay 4.59 for one....it is worth every penny!!!

Wren 03-06-2014 06:51 PM

Oh, my goodness, Alffe ........... I want one of those. LOL LOL I want SIX of those.

Wren 03-13-2014 12:28 PM

I wasn't going to do this again but I want people to talk.

This is good and very easy.
PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE

1 lb box confectioners sugar (3 3/4 cups)

2 Tbl. butter

1/3 cup milk

1 cup peanut butter

Put sugar, butter and milk in large bowl. Wave

2 minutes on high. Mix well with hand mixer.

Wave 30 seconds more. Mix in peanut butter.

Spread in wax-paper lined 8x8" pan. Cool

I tried this once with lots of peanuts stirred in and melted chocolate squiggled over the top. It looked good but most people liked it "plain".

Wish I had a printer!

Wren 03-13-2014 08:56 PM

I have a brand new computer setting sealed in its box. The professional who will take all the junk from this one and put it in the new will call me tomorrow to set up an appointment.
Anyhow ----- he assures me that my old printer will work with the new computer. I HAVE to have a printer!

Mark56 03-13-2014 10:08 PM

Well..... there is that box....

Wren, and once the computer is removed, a lot of sweet stuff from the freezer could be packed and, well, passed around to all of us, and, and, and, we could eat a little, then mail it to the next on the posties list...

Uh, Huh,
oh my, my waist does not need the additional calories,
but the thoughts are surely tempting,

Sorry I have been MIA lately,
not out eating fudge,
just working self to a nubbin
while still recovering from that last surgery,
good stuff,
g'night, :grouphug:

Wren 03-14-2014 07:37 AM

((( Mark ))) it's so good to hear from you. I keep you in my prayers.
You are sweeter than all the candy I make.

barbo 03-14-2014 07:15 PM

Mark

Good to see you!

Mark56 03-15-2014 12:37 AM

So GOOD

To see you all too!
and be seen
and know there is love in this place,
especially that :)
