Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to All!

My resolutions are:

Do more cooking.:stirthepot:

Do more :Writting:

:sing: more

:Bawling: less

 See more movies

:Zzzz: more

:laptop: Spend less time on the computer and more time :sunchair:

Get :Rich:

So what are every one's resolutions?

Kitt 12-31-2009 06:05 PM

Happy New Year to all. I don't make any resolutions:)

mrsD 12-31-2009 06:12 PM

I always look forward to the new year. I have some more irons in the fire for spring, and my garden. (doing some for others too)

Today I had a minor relapse of my shingles down my arm. Tonight it is a bit better. (this is probably due to the arginine I am taking lately for circulation). I am doing mega Lysine to sequester it. It seems better already...but yesterday I was very down and tired. (must have started then).

So the new year has to be better than TODAY....;)

cyclelops 12-31-2009 06:27 PM

OK, Kitt, I can forgive you for not making resolutions. I break mine anyway, but let me have my delusions.

MrsD, stomp on those shingles!

And me? This year I can have some bubbly...very little, hic.:Head-Spin:

In addition for 2010:

I am also going to see the :doctor: less,

:smileypray: more,

:highfive: Give credit where credit is due.

And general be an all around well adjusted person.:yahoo: Sort of.

OK, who else has New Years contributions? To resolve or not to resolve, that is the question.

cyclelops 12-31-2009 06:30 PM

As you can tell by my posts, I had some bubbly already. It does not take much.:circlelove:

Ah yes, MrsD, nothing like dreaming about dirt under our fingernails. I am making my seed list. Not much else to do out here in the winter, right? Did you know that Lake Superior contains enough water to cover North and South American with one foot of water?

cyclelops 12-31-2009 06:36 PM

I don't have much else to do these days but search for Great Lakes trivia.:Clever:

Once my friend floated away on an ice floe. She was OK, but they had to rescue her. It was on one of the 'other' Great Lakes, not Superior.:holysheep:

OK fellow NEUROPATHITES..........

Whether you are IDIOPATHETIC, AUTOIMMUTANT, OR HEREDITORIUS....

Join the party....oh and you guys down under have awesome fireworks. It is too darn cold here to have fireworks. Minneapolis is at 2...we will have a warm spell with 8 degrees...not counting windchill.

So guys....any resolutions? or other nonsense?

mrsD 12-31-2009 07:09 PM

I'm starting my seeds indoors this year. Getting the cold frame out (it is portable), and I have my seeds in hand. All I need is a few bags of starter.

I bought a heat mat on Ebay and some tiny cell, starters...128/flat. I have a portable table set up for my portable grow lights, and am raring to go. (haven't done so many in several years). This season I have 4 people lining up for babies!

That is awesome, growing your own plants. I tried to do that a few years ago, and, my heat lamp fell on the floor. And I burned a hole almost rite down to the basement. Stupid me....I had turned off the smoke detector. I thought I could pull the battery on the kitchen one, because it always goes off, and it affected ALL the smoke detectors in the WHOLE house! I woke up in time to save my house....and now I have a big hole in my kitchen floor, which I filled with floor leveling compound. I never repaired the vinyl. Next time I grow things, it is in the basement, with a concrete floor. duh:Doh: It was a perfect circle hole, lol.

This year I resolve to be more careful.:Slip:

You are pretty good at things. I am sure you will be successful. I just try hard and hope for the best, lol.

cyclelops 12-31-2009 07:26 PM

Tonight is a BLUE MOON. The last one that occurred on New Years Eve was 20 years ago. How is that for trivia? Where were you 20 years ago? And what were you doing?

I was at a local restaurant wearing a lit up sweatshirt that said 'Happy New Year" Then I washed it and it did not work any more.:(

dahlek 12-31-2009 07:31 PM

I've only one wish for this new year.

May we all take time to find those small things in life that can give us JOY!
From planting seeds, to being able to move around better and to all most importantly---LESS PAIN!
In ANY LEGAL WAY WE CAN GET IT! May we ALL get proper diagnoses and treatments and improve the quality of our lives!!!!!!!!
More 's to all! -j

cyclelops 12-31-2009 07:34 PM

I forgot what happened the rest of the night.:( It may have been good.

dahlek 12-31-2009 07:43 PM

Wow!

I sure hope it was either fun or restful! - j :D

cyclelops 12-31-2009 07:59 PM

Likely both, but that was 1990. Life is far more mundane now.

cyclelops 12-31-2009 08:00 PM

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone. :grouphug:

Some of my new year resolutions are to lose weight and try and get as healthy as I can. I am planning to volunteer this year if possible at our local animal shelter and take an online course to become a vet assistant. I've wanted to do this for the longest time, but my health seemed to always put a damper on it. I don't want to let it stop me now. I've always loved animals, especially dogs, and it would make me so happy to accomplish this and help them. :)

MrsD, you sound like you have an awesome garden! Maybe you can post some pictures sometime? I'm really into house plants myself and I have them everywhere in my house. My family just laughs every time I buy another one and bring it home. My favorites are my African Violets. I have about 30 of them and they are all in bloom. They are so pretty!

As this year closes, I just want to say thank you to my fellow PN forum family. Thank you for being there during some of my roughest times during the year. Also for all of the help you've given when it comes to answering everyone's questions. Here's to a new and better year for everyone! God bless....

Rrae 01-01-2010 02:50 AM

glenntaj 01-01-2010 08:53 AM

Hey, at least I made it to midnight.

Think that's the first time since 2003.

I tend not to make any resolutions--I have been trying to lose the same 15 pounds for a decade, after all--but I AM going to get to the bottom of this whole lower abdominal/pudendal vibration nerve thing, no matter how many doctors and physical therapists I have to consult (and insurance flunkies I have to argue with).

As many of you know, I'm hardly averse to arguing. :o

Let's hope for better health and reduced symptoms for all--and a medical system that can help us get there without bankrupting us or the nation.

cyclelops 01-01-2010 09:23 AM

Perhaps I will change my screen name to Booger! At least it has a smilie.:picknose:

I did NOT make it up to midnight, but I was up again at 2:30. I turned on TV and there was some 'educational' program on Tantra, lol, but the sattelite went into its nightly cycle of programming, so, I didn't get to watch that.:paperbag: So I went back to sleep.

:Scratch-Head:Today my resolution is not to say one thing about my health or lack there of.

Well, here is wishing all a healthy New Year. Every one be good.
:Boy(angel-flying)::Girl(angel-flying):

cyclelops 01-01-2010 09:31 AM

For Rrae for posting first this decade.

:winner_first_h4h:

I wish you :Good-Luck: May you prevail.

Happy new year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

Wishing all of you good health!

Here's to no more pain!

Miriam

nide44 01-01-2010 10:07 AM

mee tooo !!!

happy new year everyone!!

jannaw 01-01-2010 01:10 PM

Loved reading all the New Year Wishes, no one has lost their sense of humor! Best to all of you and yes, less pain would be my new year/new decade wish.
Jak, I too will be in Cabo in February, its the Female Only, over 21 Family Reunion! Disgruntled hubbies, but oh well.....they'll get over it.
Thank you to all who have assisted me on this journey, I'm forever grateful!

Rrae 01-01-2010 01:33 PM

WHO said "BOOGER"

:picknose: <<< doesn't it look like he's using his MIDDLE finger !?
That is amazingly OBSCENE !!! Right up my alley :lookaround:

And Cycleops gets the :winner_first_h4h: for the most logical
medical term ever conceived!!

"NEUROPATHITES"

cyclelops 01-01-2010 01:46 PM

Why thank you. I am both a neuropathite and autoimmutant. :p Both are becoming more evident every day. Ugh. But I did say my resolution was not to crank about my lack of health for just today. That lasted 15 minutes. :o

As for not losing a sense of humor, after one adjusts to the misery of this condition, one can not help but turn to humor for coping. There is not much else that helps.

And for the smilie who is using his bird finger to pick his nose, how appropriate.

echoes long ago 01-01-2010 03:26 PM

Happy New Year, may you have a million or two million more of them.

My last new years resolution i ever made was to have no more resolutions and so far its the only one ive kept.

dahlek 01-01-2010 09:37 PM

Totally love 'Immunomutant'!

As history shows that if'n you get one? You gotta get/have MORE! But, be careful what ya wish for?
As for seeing-in the new year? Slept all thru it! At least, got to watch the hilites w/o annoucer diahreah, throughout.
As for it all? Cats are smarter...they nap until they need to wake up... then nap again!
May we all truly SEE and REPORT the medical absurdities we either experience of witness! There's got to be gobs of them!
May we re-train or educate more neuro docs about OUR issues and keep them on their toes! At least, they can stand on their toes? Ya know?
I think in the near future, I just might acquire a 'walking stick' of the 'tall variety' folks use to hike with...and use IT for future doc appointments? More subtle than a 2"x4" but visually impressive! Using such 'sticks' does imply that WE are SERIOUS? And we all must convey that aspect of our concerns!

Cycleops? Tomorrow would be a good day? It's the weekend!'s

Special :hug:'sto one and all here - ALL Special people who are appreciated, by ME at least! - j
