Just got the short form SSA review.

And I am not at all worried one bit. I have kept up with all the requirements and I am confident this will not be an issue.

let us know how you make out....when was your last short form questionnaire?

If you haven't started filling it out, read this link first: http://nymakesworkpay.org/docs/Guide_CDR.pdf

It's still preferable to avoid the Long form if at all possible, even if you are confident of the outcome.

Looks like it will be a long time before I see another review. Got a notice in the mail from SSA that they see no reason to contact my doctor or do a formal review at this time.

How quick was the response from SSA? Mine was sent in about a month ago. I was approved about 7 years ago.
Just curious!
Thank you!

It took a couple months to get a response. Do you have an SSA.GOV login? You can check your status before you get the letter in the mail.

Just read - I logged in and there isn't any new information - I imagine it'll be at least a month before I hear anything
Thank you for your kind information!

There is no link to check the status of your short form. I was saying that if you go and check the status of your SSA disability benefits you would see if there were any changes in your benefits.

I wish that I could go for 6 years without being reviewed. I have terrible anxiety on top of bipolar disorder and I know about (within a month) of when mine is arriving. About 6 months before that I fall into a deep depression/funk just worrying about if they're going to cut me off, what would happen if I lose my access to meds, worrying about if I could go back to work in that state of mind (probably not), and then I start thinking about what a terrible burden I would be on other people. I doubt that anyone would hire me, for starters, because I haven't worked anywhere in 10 years, and the "rule" in this new economy seems to be if you tell them you haven't worked anywhere for more than six months, they throw your job application in the trash. So, it really is a lot of panicking every time and then they just continue it. I've gotten the full review once and I wasn't sleeping well for weeks after I sent it in.

I've heard other people making similar comments, so I'm not alone. I'm only 32, so I'm going to have to deal with as many as 11 more of these, assuming I live long enough to reach "full retirement", so I might as well get used to it.
