Prayer Request For Yeahbut's daughter
 

I heard from Char (Yeahbut) this morning, she had to rush her daughter (18) to the ER overnight, she was experiencing extreme abdominal pains. The appendix was ruled out as the culprit and the suspicion is currently Crohn's disease.

Please help me lift up these women in prayer as they spend their holiday seeking answers and a solution.

if this is Crohn's I sure sympathize as my son has it....but I can also offer much hope as the supplement/diet/lifestyle program I have him on has it subdued and he has gone from agonizing daily pain to none!!

Thank you for your prayers. Today was a long day but it is almost over. We are all very tired but DD is feeling better tonight, pain has finally subsided. Tomorrow we will see the specialist to see where we go from here. Thank you once again for the needed prayers for my family. There was a reason I couldn't do the job & she is laying beside me!

No we are not home, sorry if I said that, we are still in the hospital. I have spent the night here ever since we came in Saturday night. We both slept well as to be expected last night. She is still sleeping, I just got a cup of coffee checking in and waiting for the specialist to arrive.I hope she will be able to go home today if not tomorrow at the latest.We sat last night reading this thread on my cell phone. Sorry I haven't updated yesterday was a little crazy!We are getting ready to go home finally. They have ruled everything out except a viral infection. They are not sure what has caused it but are pretty sure it is all cleared. Thank you for all your prayers. She is doing so much better. I on the other hand am exhausted. I have slept here at the hospital since we came in on Saturday. I had a final this morning at school and another one tonight. I need to run her to her house an hour away, then back to Bangor to class tonight and then finally home. I am not even ready for Christmas yet but lucky we are not doing it till Sunday. I'm so glad your DD wasn't diagnosed with something awful. (I've had ulcerative colitis for 32 yrs, not fun at all.)

DD #2 is doing so much better and I finally have five minutes to sit at my computer and update everyone! She was really tired the next day but she went to a very important basketball game that night so I am sure she got tired out plus the last three days caught up to her.

I wanted to tell you Monday night after everyone left we sat on her bed with my cell phone and read all the post that had been done. After every post we read and I told her about each one of you. She was so amazed that so many people from so many different places would pray for her. I told her she was special to people she hadn't even met yet!

Thank you all one more time for you thoughts and prayers. They worked!

I thought about you today. My daughter said that her dad, who lives in Oregon and has a passle of other kids, called her about her step-brother. He is in the hospital with some intestinal problem as well, and several other people from that area are in with the same thing!

That happened to me nearly 10 years ago, and as it happened, quite a few people in this area, including my cousin, ended up in the hospital with some intestinal problem that they couldn't diagnose and called it a virus. It certainly was debilitating and painful!

Tell your DD that I too am amazed by all the caring and support that comes from this wonderful community. My daughter too is overwhelmed by support she has received from 'strangers' here.

I told her how you were my first ever "Christmas Partner" and how much I would love to make a trip to VT to meet you. How you were the post master but finally retired. How you live in a small town just like the one she does and walked to work. And how you always seems to make me smile just when I need it! and of course reminded her about the rocks you sent. :)
