Water Thread..or line to the bathroom

drink up!

i need to get back on track. be held accountable.

anyone with me?

so far today...1 large cup of decaf. 12 oz water. yep measured. 1 cup plain non fat yogurt with 1/4 cup of raisins.

did 1 load of laundry...and have been sitting on my butt!

nancy-h 08-20-2007 11:45 AM

HELLO CURIOUS! After a Skinny Cow ice cream treat splurge yesterday, I have to get back on track. We have been traveling and that pretty much kills a diet as well. But I still have my online Weight Watchers membership and with some support here, I think I can loose those pesky last pounds!!!

I am not feeling well physically - my fibro and my neuropathy are both raging and I have a terrible sore throat. Today for breakfast I had 2 light yogurts with Grapenuts sprinkled on top and a banana. After bkfst I went back to bed a slept. The pain in my feet is a little better today so I hope I'm going in the right direction as far as pain is concerned.

Have a great day, Curious and everyone else as well!

Nancy

Curious 08-20-2007 11:54 AM

yeppers..you are off to a wonderful start today. just have to keep those liquids up.

i'm sorry about the pain nancy. i sure do know how something as simple as an ice cream can be the only bit of joy in the day.

traveling and vacations make it so hard to stay on track. but ya know...you had lost weight. you can do it again. i need to go find our cheerleaders. :D

Curious 08-20-2007 12:38 PM

we're heading for lunch time.

need some good fiber..some protien. something to help fight off those afternnoon munchies.

i'm going to hunt in the fridge...see what i can come up with.

i drank another 12 oz of water. i keep filling up a small bottle i washed out. it's not so scary looking compared to a huge 32 oz bottle!

i did go walk to the mail box, which in the front of the complex. :o walk..not real fast.

Jomar 08-20-2007 12:51 PM

I'm in slow gear so far today.
still on my first cup o coffee. 12oz w/half&half and sugar:o
need to refill my cup LOL

Raining outside and achy upperbody today.
we got a "new" car and it had sat under trees for quite awhile so it needed lot of scrubbing inside and out.
between the cool/wet weather front and all that scrubbing on the weekend I'm in slow motion....

but yes I do need to up the H2O too- good reminder thread:grouphug:

Curious 08-20-2007 12:53 PM

here is what i made. i'm letting it all sit for a bit to get colder.

a chicken waldorf salad.

1 fuji apple.
1/4 cup raisins ( i'm on a raisin kick today)
3 stalks of celery...chopped
1/2 cup chicken breast chopped ( thank goodness for leftovers)
1/4 cup walnut 1/2's...then i chopped them
3 T light mayo

the mound will go on a plate of field greens. this is going to be a long 30 minutes. i'm hungry. :D

the kids...want grilled cheese

Curious 08-20-2007 12:56 PM

with that coffee you won't be in slow gear much longer jo! lol

take it easy today. drink that water. and no..i don't mean go stick your head outside.

have you been doing your exercises and stretches?

Jomar 08-20-2007 01:08 PM

err not really:o
I did do some small reps on the soloflex yesterday - mostly for legs since arms got a workout from the scrubbing.

mmm- I have a hankering to roast a turkey - love the leftovers!
I do feel lighter when i eat chicken/turkey vs beef or pork - that kind of goes along with what the Blood type diet says for me too.

fiberowendy2000 08-21-2007 07:20 AM

I drink so much I swear I go to the bathroom up to 10 times a day. I use as a measure a McDonalds large drink cup at work which is 32 oz and use a Rubbermaid container at home of the same amount to monitor my water drinkage.:D

Curious 08-21-2007 03:42 PM

hey..only wendy drinking water today?

wassup?

i just chugged my 12 oz after i did my march.

drink up. stay hydrated with the extra exercise we are going. keep that skin nice and pretty.

MSacorn 08-21-2007 04:41 PM

I had my 32 oz this am. Am on the last of my 2nd 32 now. I will be drinking water while sweating in the no a/c bar for darts tonite.

Curious 08-21-2007 04:48 PM

good deal beth.

You should come to Colorado. We are a no smoking state. It has been 2 years now. It sure makes throwing a lot more healthy. I always hated the smoke. For the first year, the smokers whined, and whined that they had to go outside. Now, I've heard several say their games improved without the distraction.

I can't afford to drink and some of my meds say no, no, no. It's water or club soda w/lime for me.

Dmom3005 08-21-2007 10:15 PM

Gosh I'm not even sure how much water I had today.

Hmmm, I have water at PT, and water at breakfast.

And lUnch. And then I had to drink 32ozs. for the test.

Then I had a coughing spill before, during and after the test so water was my best friend. Then I had water all the way home.

None of this included the water pouring outside my car.

I also had some food, but I'm not touching that part exactly I kind of cheated for breakfast, i had biscuits and gravy, just 1/2 a order.

And then a roast beef sandwich for lunch, and a salad for dinner.

And I treated my self to a shake after my test at the hospital.

watsonsh 08-21-2007 10:32 PM

Ok Ok Curious...time for me to get back on the bandwagon. I'll be drinking tomorrow. Promise. And also time to get back on the diet. Bad Shelley Bad

Curious 08-22-2007 09:21 AM

low fat cupcakes for you chicky.

had my 12 oz. took my sam-e. now my decaf is perking.

froglady 08-22-2007 11:22 AM

:D I've been drinking a lot of walmart crystal light type no sugar drink. I mix it with my wter and am really drinking a lot. Sorry...can't stand just water it turns my stomach. Still though the punch and lots of water is a good thing.
Today I am still drinking lots. Need the fluid real badly for my digestive progesses. Gaye

Curious 08-22-2007 11:26 AM

that stuff is awesome huh? great price and it does help me drink more. i even made some into ice cubes. drop a few into my green tea. i steep my own from tea bags. so no sugar...and really inexpensive. a cube or 2 of the rasberry ice cubes....yum!!

great job on the "water" gaye!!

watsonsh 08-22-2007 12:35 PM

I love that crystal light - white tea with blueberries is my fave. It makes the water go down better. :D

MSacorn 08-22-2007 01:39 PM

I drank a total of, 148 oz of water or club soda w/lime yesterday. Yes, we tied a record yesterday at 97. It was so HOT at darts. I may cut back a bit with the H2O today.:)

Curious 08-22-2007 01:44 PM

:Sinking: you might need to do that. lol. are you floating away yet or buying stick in charmin?

getting too much isn't good either. when it is hot or we are exerting oursleves...you use it up. otherwise you can deplete yourself of eletrolytes.

Yes, I'm feeling a bit like a hovercraft today. :)

I had such severe nausea yesterday, I only ate for the day, 2 taquitos and one blueberry muffin, about 12 hrs apart. I only ate so I can take meds. Not smart, I know, but I couldn't even look at food.

Since I stopped the Lyrica and the constant eating it caused, I've been so nauseous, how weird is that.

I'm hungry now, but nausea seems to have bonded with me. Maybe some scrabled eggs will be good. I'm gonna try.

Curious 08-22-2007 02:01 PM

beth, nausea is also a sx of electrolyte imbalance.

if you can handle it...a piece of banana
and add a dash or 2 of salt to your eggs.

it's vicious cycle. been there done that with many hospital stays with my mom. even taking tums to calm the nausea messed her up big time.

I did oversalt my eggs so got that done. Will have some banana now.

A cool front moved in and I've got a whopper of a sinus headache on top of everything.

Thanks much, you are a wealth of useful info.

Dmom3005 08-22-2007 07:29 PM

Beth

Hoping your feeling better.

Gosh on the water front, its been a bad day to drink water for me.

I was on the road all day, trying to help my daughter-like-in-law get
my granddaughter to the hospital 2 hours away, with 2 other grandkids,
and we just didn't have the time for stopping for water.

But it was such a long day. Started at 9am and ended at 6pm.

I am not liking the fact that we have to go back in 2 weeks, even more
so because its a molestation case.

I'm feeling so bad for the family period.

Its just so sad that its going on.

Donna

Curious 08-22-2007 07:35 PM

 donna

relax. maybe a nice cup of tea.

i am so sorry. :( hurting a child in anyway.....i hope throw the person away and lose the key.

MSacorn 08-22-2007 08:19 PM

Donna
Thanks for the well wishes. Actually I do feel a bit better. Spending alot of time in my chair, except for the exercises. I did cook up some cheesburger "turkey" helper and had some. Hopefully I'm on the upswing.

So sorry for your family struggles, what a terrible situation. Please remember to take care of you too.

befuddled2 08-22-2007 08:23 PM

froglady 08-22-2007 10:43 PM

OK, so last night I wet my panties cause I could not make it to the bathroom when I woke up at 5:00...today I have had a near miss or two. Seems all the water makes me have some bladder problems. Ha, some folks can't hold their liquor...me...I can't hold my water. Hee Hee! Ha, maybe instead of being plain frog I am a "pee Frog". froggie:D

fiberowendy2000 08-23-2007 08:00 AM

You know how I feel about chocolate. :In-Lurve:

I drink homemade ice tea by the gallon, 1/2 is green tea. I find the green too bitter on it's own.

Have fun at the open house.

Curious 08-23-2007 05:10 PM

i have been a good monkey. bought the hard chocolates. yummy. super low fat. i think the package said 1 g. i can suck on one for long time. way better than eating a pound bag of peanut m&ms in 2 minutes flat. :o

the green tea i bought has jasmine in it. yep ..it cuts the bitter.

made it in a big ole sun tea jar. texas sun..takes about 10 minutes. :p

Dmom3005 08-23-2007 07:05 PM

Today was pt and I always drink the water there. And then I have water all the way around when I'm out doing my driving.

So not sure how much, but a drinking my water I did.

Then of course one diet coke too. But not bad that was all.

I had to get my allergy shots too.

Dmom3005 08-23-2007 09:10 PM

Not sure what you mean by hard chocolate. But I have dark chocolate because its good for blood pressure. And I have peanuts for my salads.

And of course I drink water, and water,

Donna

Curious 08-23-2007 09:13 PM

the chocolates are hard. like hard candy. crack you teeth , so don't bite them hard...lol...at first. whorthers (sp) makes some and so does hersheys.

Dmom3005 08-23-2007 09:31 PM
